Sentient Data posted:Is there an actual joke in there, or is it just references disguised as entertainment ala ready player one? Toejam and Earl is a roguelike with a brighter, more cheerful demeanor whilst Binding of Isaac is a roguelike with a much darker and graphic tone, so KC smooshed them together for a funny juxtaposition. Tiggum posted:I think a lot of people hated it. I get the feeling that it's one of those times when something popular IS bad, but the people who genuinely don't like it kind of get lost in the reflexive glut of 'THING POPULAR, SO THING BAD'. Stuff like IDEOTV's Ready Player One episode, Red Letter Media's Star Wars prequel reviews, and the myriad takes on Twilight get a lot of traction because they find a way to actually articulate why something is bad. There's a really clear difference between the people who bitch about the new Ghostbusters (which might be bad, I dunno) and someone really taking an honest attempt to analyze why exactly a bad book is bad.

It has been 8 years and a month since the Loss comic hit the web. I think we should start drilling for loss edits instead of oil.

loss edits are really hit or miss, I've seen so many that it kinda surprises me whenever I see a funny one and lol irl. Sad clown face really made that one.
