Sagebrush posted:Do gasoline engines even make enough soot for a particulate filter to matter? When was the last time you were walking around your gas car and were like "drat, there's a lot of soot around the exhaust pipe, I should clean that off?" Last time I thought that was looking at the tailpipe on my Audi with a DI turbo engine. She loves making black stuff Speaking of which it'll be great seeing what happens to these filters when your VW engine burns it's "acceptable" 1qt of oil every 5000kms

I don't get why whenever a new Lamborghini comes out people are all like "it doesn't look as aggressive/crazy as the previous one". Top Gear's especially guilty of that. Compared to a Huracan which people criticise as bland, this one is just

Not much passion in a corolla. At least one built after 91. which is what my mind goes to.

# ? Aug 8, 2016 19:19 |

That particular corolla came RWD from the factory, at least on the sport models. They weigh just over a ton and come with 130 horsepower stock; a modern engine makes it an absolute demon of a car.

How do people running velocity stacks handle dirt and sand ingestion?

Sagebrush posted:How do people running velocity stacks handle dirt and sand ingestion? More seriously, they don't. Velocity stacks are something you run at a racetrack, on an engine that comes apart pretty regularly, and isn't exposed to ingestion events.

It's a really good idea to have an airbox and filter. But then you can't show off your sweet velocity stacks at car shows.
