Flintstones #2

So 'crap' is the origin of animals used as household appliances. The major religion in Bedrock worships animals, so the sudden perception of them as vacuum cleaners and record players is a problem.

Why is Fred watching the news with Betty? I mean, I know the reason that occurs to me, but I want to know what the reason in the comic is.

Barney is there too, it's just near-impossible to see him behind Fred's bulk. I guess Wilma is cleaning or in the can or something.

Using the context clue that Betty was explaining how the television worked to a clueless Fred, I would imagine that she and Barney invited Fred over to show it to him. Having seen what is supposedly the best this comic has to offer so far, I have come to the further conclusion that it is in no way deserving of this level of thought.

It's almost disconcerting to see this comic pull a goofy 'Eh, it's a living!' joke like the original Flintstones.

I think the satire is weak and focused on being bitter over all else which hurts it both from a commentary standpoint and from a humor standpoint. YMMV but I don't like it much.

We don't need to have that dialogue because it's obvious, trivial, and has already been had a thousand times.

From the pages I've seen that also seems to have been something of a problem with Prez.
