Shimrra Jamaane posted:It's August 15 and Trump is losing by a huge margin to Hillary. Not only must he avoid doing anything outrageously damaging to his campaign and hemorrhaging more supporters but he must also do things to get new supporters on board. Today's Big Deal speech may have avoided the first thing. But did it succeed with the second? I'm afraid it's far far too late. People already saw the real trump and it's a scary mix of all kinds of wrong things to be in a leader. Kinda like having one of your facebook friends go 9/11 truther, it doesn't matter what he says after, you know he's already accepted crazy poo poo and it's time to clean the list.

Illinois was biased 1 seat in favor of Democrats, and Texas and Arizona were also outliers in favor of Democrats (but subject to mixed control).

Anyone got an article of that attorney who withdrew the case against the police in her city for a shooting, citing that the system is too hosed up to make any headway? And that other case where the police shot at a fleeing car and then just got put on administrative leave/minorly punished or something?

I'm pretty sure it started as a miscegenation thing, probably inspired by some MRA/PUA bullshit too. A white dude who doesn't give a poo poo about miscegenation is a "beta-c*ck", because we're allowing the sacred flower of white womanhood to be sullied by those vile brutes! Racist, misogynistic, and full to the brim with toxic masculinity!

Bueno Papi posted:Related to Milo chat. Can someone inform me what's the deal with the alt-right insulting people by calling them "cuckolds"? A feeling of masculine inadequacy. An alt-right white guy thinks everyone shares his deep-seated fear that he's unable to please a woman and every woman he looks at/dates/marries will go off with black men with their massive cocks and limitless sexual energy, and laugh with her ebony lover behind his back at his poor and unsatisfying performance. Therefore, every white man who isn't a segregationist must want this to happen and fetishizes it. The alt-right is completely incapable of imagining any reason that someone wouldn't hate and fear everyone with swarthy skin other than this.

I doubt you'll get anyone who uses it to admit its racist connotations. I also doubt you'll get many of them who are able to tell you what the word actually means. Also, a female being cuckolded could just means her husband loves thick black dick. Why you gotta assume they're not making sense? Husbands taking thick black dick makes sense to me.

FactsAreUseless posted:"Africanized" bees are real, I don't know why people started thinking they're not. All commercial honeybees are one species, Apis mellifera. America's are all one sub-species, the Italian honeybee, because importing other subspecies is illegal due to disease and parasite concerns. But an African subspecies that's come up through Mexico is very resistant to diseases like Varroa mite, and has basically become the single honeybee variety through Mexico and parts of the southern U.S. African honeybees are, as rumored, more aggressive, so most of our honeybee production has moved to the northeast and northwest. But since they're also naturally resistant to some parasites, you don't have to use as many chemical pesticides to keep them alive. Any time you buy organic honey, it's almost always from Mexico or maybe the southwestern U.S., and comes from those African honeybees. But overall they're a lot harder to raise, so concerns about them were valid. All the rumors were true: they were aggressive, and they did take over honeybee populations in Mexico and central America. I think they were referring to how for years you'd hear all the time about how terrifying africanized bees were going to be swarming all over north america but they never really moved far beyond the far south

I've seen a swarm maybe once at most and never been swarm stung.

I always assumed that "c u c k" gained credence in alt-right circles as a pejorative in response to the NYE sexual assaults in Germany which were committed by Arab and North African refugees. In this context, "c u c k" is used to denigrate people who support immigration because they are apparently sexually gratified by the idea of swarthy brown foreigners ravaging our pure white virgins, not because they believe offering asylum to desperate families from war-torn countries, often themselves victims of terrorism, is a moral duty. Of course, it goes without saying that the attacks, in which 5 women were raped and many more assaulted, were heinous and morally indefensible, however they were literally a statistical blip in comparison to the vast amount of sexual assaults committed by men against women on a daily basis that the alt_right doesn't seem to give a drat about. The instinctual fear of the Other raping our women always makes for great propaganda. Sorry for the derail. AMorePerfctGoonion fucked around with this message at 13:55 on Aug 16, 2016 |
