Depending on how seriously and often you plan to hike and if you are going to go in the mountains, buying cheap hiking boots can be a very disappointing experience. I destroyed twice a cheap pair of hiking shoes (torn off the sole) while in the mountains, 2 days of walk from the nearest city, and I wish that to nobody (the second time I had duct tape, but still, it was terrible)
