sean10mm posted:Locker is a good parallel except Hack seems even worse. Put another way, a career 79.0 passer rating looks wildly optimistic for Hack right now, and that's where Locker ended up. Before reading this statline I never realized how truly awful both those QBs are/were.

So Steve Young, who was great in college but sucked in Tampa, which was a complete and utter dumpster fire at the time, and then later was one of the greatest QBs of all time, is completely comparable to Christian Hackenberg, who loving sucked like crazy in college and seems to show absolutely no proof of not absolutely loving sucking in New York.

I'm a hugely biased Husky fan so take what I say with a grain of salt but I think it is unfair to compare the two without also comparing rushing totals. Locker could actually run. His freshman year, he almost ran for 1000 yards. After his injury in his sophomore year, he never really recovered and couldn't break 400 yards, but his rushing is part of what made Locker attractive. Christian Hackenburg cannot run. At all. I'm going to hang up and listen now.

Locker beat Nebraska in a bowl game while completing like 2 passes

It was a Manziel comparison and is still loving stupid.

Only thing Manziel didn't fail at was being a goblin
