We are in a comic book movie thread. We have accepted that the content we enjoy watching is trashy on some level. It's why I can enjoy things like Smallville and Supergirl despite knowing that they are not high quality shows.

Who gives a poo poo if it's Of Quality Whose quality? If you enjoy it, you enjoy it. You can figure out why if yo uwant to, but the simple fact is, not everything has to be perfect, and a film called Night Beast can be more enjoyable to watch than a film called (Insert Oscar award winning mega hit here) despite one being objectively a worse film. Because Night Beast is amazing.

By your logic, nobody should criticize anything. People can enjoy watching Sharknado for instance but nobody is going to call that movie good.

While I'd put them in the same tier of quality, they're different kinds of bad; Identity Crisis was an idea that could have been fantastic executed absurdly poorly, Arrow and Flash are mediocre ideas done in a mediocre way. Watch Arrow up to when Manu Bennett peaces out of the show, I'd say.

Identity Crisis is simply a manual on how to NOT write a story centering around sexual assault.

Was Identity Crisis the one where someone's wife ended up in a coma or died because her jealous friend shrunk down to microscopic levels and danced on her brain? Or did it just involve Dr Light raping that one lady and then him and batman being mindwiped by the JLA? SolidSnakesBandana posted:I loved that terrible, terrible show. I coincidentally ordered a bluray copy yesterday apropos of nothing. Never saw it or read the book. I look forward to watching it this week. Not a comic book movie per se, but I just watched Judex after having it sit on my shelf for a couple years. Loved it. Arsene Lupin with a smattering of Batman.
