You're probably being rhetorical, but Dalereed was just funny to read. On a simple, plain level. He ranted about everything and he was succinct. He hadn't seen a movie in 40 years. He didn't know what Muppets were, and still didn't. He used lead paint, I'm probably remembering that wrong but he's definitely made multiple posts over the years about how he deliberately used things deemed unsafe out of spite. And perhaps most importantly, he bucked Freep orthodoxy on a lot of topics, most of them mundane but still, thanks to the immunity his being friends with the site's owner got him. He was an original. The rest of Freep, if you're detached enough to still think is funny, is only funny after you've spent time unpacking their delusions and their fears, and it's mostly on a meta level. savegesusie is "funny" because she's clearly mentally unwell and has posted the same word salad rant dozens of times. Lazamataz is "funny" because he's gone full Nazi. Dalereed, meanwhile, talked about fast cars, chasing chicks and being really angry about skim milk.

I know many intelligent (the ability to rationalize...not memorize) women who know the difference between freedom and slavery. Simply refusing to vote for the only candidate who will ensure our freedoms in the future because he called a “bimbo” fat is the reason you will vote for Hillary directly (or by not voting for Trump) and doom your children, their children and all future linage to a world of total control by the government! Some research is in order — court self governance could be part of the Alabama constitution.

I’ve been of very very mixed about this. This clearly isn’t marriage in any holy sense. However, even when everybody expected it to be between a man and a woman, was it also thus safeguarded? Perhaps that horse fled the barn decades ago and died in the field and we were looking at its skeleton, with modern concepts of divorce. We’re now lamenting desecration of something that isn’t even sacred any more, complaining about hollowing out what was only a veneer.

Maybe this move has finally outed the lie that was the American idea of marriage. Now FINALLY the churches have every reason to hoot at it, rather than pretending that we had something holy going on.

The blasted thing is a scan of paper and hasn't been OCR'd, and is 50 pages long. Apologies for typos in these excerpts.

the decision posted:

At the outset, this court emphasizes that this case is concerned only with alleged violations of the Canons of Judicial Ethics. The case is not about whether same-sex marriage should be permitted; indeed, we recognize that a majority of voters in Alabama adopted a constitutional amendment in 2006 banning same-sex marriage, as did a majority of states over the past 15 years. Moreover, this is not a case to review or to editorialize about the United Sates Supreme Court's June 2015 split decision in Obergefell v. Hodges 125 S. Ct. 2584 (2015), a decision that some members of this court did not personally agree with or think was well reasoned. This court simply does not have the authority to reexamine those issues.

[48 pages omitted]

On the basis of the evidence presented, this Court unanimously finds that the JIC proved by clear and convincing evidence that Chief Justice Roy Moore is guilty of charges nos. 1-6. Specifically, Chief Justice Moore is guilty of violating:
  • Canon 1, in that he failed to uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary;
  • Canon 2, in that he failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all his activities;
  • Canon 2A, in that he failed to respect and comply with the law and failed to conduct himself at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the judiciary;
  • Canon 2B, in that he failed to avoid conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice that brings the judicial office into disrepute;
  • Canon 3, in that he failed to perform the duties of his office impartially; and
  • Canon 3A(6), in that he failed to abstain from public comment about a pending proceeding in his own court.[
For these violations Chief Justice Moore is hereby suspended from office without pay for the remainder of his term. This suspension is effective immediately.

Chief Justice Moore is also taxed with the costs of this proceeding.

From ‘Th’ Sound Will Vanish from English Language Due to Multiculturalism, Linguists Say posted by freeper C19fan

Let's play guess the article source! Is it,
  1. Fox News,
  2. Breitbart,
  3. American "Thinker",
  4. Treehouse dot com, or
  5. WND?
The correct answer is B: Breitbart, of course

Now, let's compare the article headline with the actual contents.

quote:

By the middle of the century, the “th” sound will have vanished from the English spoken in London due to the high level of immigrants who cannot pronounce it, linguists have said.
In a study that shows the impact immigration is having on the English language, academics at the University of York say that Estuary English, the dialect currently spoken in London and south east England, will gradually be replaced by a heavily migrant-influenced English.

One of the first things to go will be the “th” sound, which will be replaced with “f”, “v” or “d”, so “mother” could become “muvver” and “think” will evolve into “fink”.

The Telegraph reports that Multicultural London English, which is influenced by the capital’s Asian, African and Caribbean communities, will also soften some words so “cute” will be pronounced “coot” and “beauty” becomes “booty”.
So, they're talking about urban English ... in London.

Freep takes it in stride and makes a bunch of jokes, most of which aren't really funny.

So instead, let's compare freep to Breitbart comments.

Original formatting.

quote:

Worse, the English will vanish from England thanks to multiculturalism.

Large scale migration is a problem because it changes a nations identity. It displaces and dilutes the host culture, removing that which made it unique.

I do not wish to see my country (or for that matter any country) transformed into a global land; I wish to keep what makes it special. Apparently that makes me a white supremacist, a racist, a xenophobe, and worse than a moslem murderer.

Did you know that India only wants migrants of Indian stock? Are they called racist for this policy? No of course not, because they are a minority, despite the fact that there are 1.3 plus billion of them!

quote:

Amazing isn't it knowing the strong history of the British empire with colonies over most of the world, being taken over quietly by their own immigration policies. I'm white but beginning to think my race is a self loathing race. No other explanation.

quote:

I'm sure the civil war will have stopped that from happening by then.

Original formatting.

quote:

To any honest viewer this is the slow genocide of the indigenous British and European, something the UN is supposed to protect us against.

Yet for some reason, they insist that there aren't any indigenous people in Britain and therefore it simply doesn't apply.

For some reason they don't class us as indigenous, which is very odd considering that the Anglo Saxons have been here since the 5th Century, the Vikings the 8th and the bulk of the British far longer.

Yet they do regard the Māori as indigenous to New Zealand.

The Māori originated with settlers from eastern Polynesia, who arrived in New Zealand in several waves of canoe voyages at some time between 1250 and 1300AD.

quote:

And on the BBC history for schools programme they had Victoria Woods the presenter asking some Maori chief words similar to: 'why do you think you were unsuccessful in repelling the foreign invaders (the British) from your lands?'

So the accepted MSM/school education line is that the British were 'invaders' in that case, but any race or culture that wants to come to Britain is never referred to using this same term.

Does it mean that if a person puts one toe on a continent or island, such as the Maori did, does this mean only their genetic type/race can own land there for evermore? Surely this is apartheid? And if they dig up a skeleton where the Maori live that predates the Maori that is European, does it mean all the Maori will have to leave? Then if they find another skeleton even older of a Japanese person, does that mean the Europeans just installed there will have to leave and only Japanese can own land there? Then they find an even older skeleton of an aborigini and it is all change again.

quote:

Thou wouldst seek to nettle me. London Multicultural English should always be termed "Jafaican", innit.

quote:

Nothing worse than hearing white kids speaking with that ghastly 'Jafaican' garbage accent.

quote:

I know, but the reality is that they won't get beaten up/picked on/mugged if they 'fit in'.
I grew up in a poor middle class household in west London and went to state schools. As a child I was teased for being 'posh' by working class white kids, so adapted and talked a bit common, then as I became a teenager, I used to get mugged all the time by black gangs - never beaten up, just mugged. Eventually I decided the best thing was to dress like them, develop a silly walk, and 'bop' down the street, and talk like them too. They left me alone after that.

One of the first things to go will be the “th” sound, which will be replaced with “f”, “v” or “d”, so “mother” could become “muvver” and “think” will evolve into “fink"

These aren't even the same sounds. It's like they are arguing... Disingenuously.

Yeah, I think it's just natural language change, which is associated with race and class. Prescriptivists will frequently flip out about this sort of thing.

I often point out to argumentative leftists that their strategy depends of a large group of opponents to "die off" in order to fully implement their agenda. Very Nazi-ish, to put it mildly.

And we have Labor Secretary Perez just recently implying that it was a good thing that Scalia died so that a deadlocked Supreme Court would let a leftist Ninth Circuit labor decision stand. They would kill all the other conservative justices if they could get away with it.

The problem is that the media has made it an issue he can’t ignore. When Megan Kelly spends half of her show talking about it he has to address it. It is an attempt to keep people from talking about Hillary’s record, lies, poor health and criminality. Unfortunately, he has to address it.

This Machado attack is part of a pre scripted media attack coordinated with the Clinton Campaign.

It was one of several trial balloons Hillary floated at the debate and its the only one that Trump did not shhot down in the debate.

This Machado silliness is the least damaging and serious of Hillary's trial balloons so the fact that this is the only one the media has in play shows Trump shot down the Clinton/Media post debate script before it ever got off the ground.

It's also backfiring against Clinton as revelations about Macho continue to roll out and it's the only ammunition Hillary has to paint Trump as a rabid misogynist.

The media is running with this cause it's all got and Trump has no choice but to counter attack.

In this case, Bill and Hillary's long term abuse of the Politics of Personal Destruction (perfected by the Clintons BTW) against women allows Trump to go on the offensive rather than have to play defense on this issue.

It's taking time from issues, but it highlights Hillary's lying, bad judgment , incompetence, lack of temperament and high lights her desperation and he campaigns bankrupt platform to run on.

... there's tape of him "fat"-shaming her. Video tape. And he's doubled down on that he did it. Willingly. Intentionally. Multiple times this week alone.

I don’t care who calls who fat.
Fat is not political issue. Period.

No presidential candidate should be talking about someone calling someone fat, or responding to the same.

NOT AN ISSUE.

Girls’ self esteem? Sorry, girls need to get tough or go home. We need serious girls and women in the future. Women who fall to pieces if someone calls them fat will not do well in life and frankly, are no help to anyone anyway. They can stay home and cry if they want.

Millions of women in the world have real problems and real concerns. Billions of women are working everyday to make their lives and the lives of their families better. They’re going to school, starting families, jobs, careers, taking care of the elderly, running for local political office .... or just working to put food on the table.

They are not silly, weak women yammering about fat this or fat that.

And then reap the monetary rewards from hillary just like Bernie Sanders did.

This is true, you have a point.

However, we need to raise our daughters to NOT CARE who calls who fat or whatever. They need to be stronger than the daughters of the LIV ‘feelers’ and emos. They will be the ones doing important things with their lives while the emo’s daughters are cowering in their are cowering in their ‘safe spaces’.

I’m not going to give an inch on this. Clinton is the one who wants girls/women to be afraid of what men like Donald Trump think of them. That’s what that ad is telling them. That’s how we should respond to this.

No point in wallowing in victim culture.
People like Trump will eat them alive if they allow themselves to be that weak ... like this silly beauty pageant woman who’s only claim to fame is that someone once thought her pretty and paid some attention to her.

Trump can't shut up about his public fat shaming of Alicia Machado. This is now day four of this being a lead news story. It got two sentences in the debate.

Today it also got a handful of tweets from Trump at stupid o'clock in the morning.

From Trump unleashes early-morning Twitter tirade against ‘disgusting’ Alicia Machado posted by freeper Dongalinger

So let's talk about this whole porn thing. It is, of course, false. The porn film isn't her. On the other hand, she did appear on a "reality" show and allegedly bedded someone on camera, at night, in the dark. Calling it a "sex tape" is a stretch as it's unclear if it was real or an act.

Oh by the way, the porn film is called "Apprentass 4". You can guess what it's a parody of.

Freep's immediate reaction is actually surprising.

Goddamnit.

So here's the problem, freeper Jay Thomas. When a normal person - no less a normal politician - is confronted with something that they did in the past that people are criticizing, the correct thing to do is understand the criticism and then formulate a response that puts it to bed. If he'd said "Yeah, I was probably too hard on her" and then shut up, it'd have been over the next day. Instead he's been doubling down over and over and dragging it out now for four full days.

Freep at least seems to understand how bad this is.

This isn't even the ad on Machado. It's worth watching if you haven't seen it already.

For the record, the Machado tweets were at 5 AM local time. His tweets at 3 AM local time were on a completely different subject.
Factually false. He's talked about it every day this week. For example, the day after the debate he was interviewed on Fox & Friends (their morning show) and continued to defend calling her fat much to the visible horror of the hosts.

Freepers: Romney failed because he had tactics
