STOP TALKING ABOUT DICK LENGTHS!

My[25M] girlfriend [20/F] of 1 year, insults my dick all the time.

quote:

Awhile ago I mentioned kegels as a method of making her tighter. I didn't mean to offend her, but I think it may have because later, when we were drinking and talking about sex and my dick size (I was bragging about its length), she told me that, although she thinks it's "nice",I have a "skinny dick". I told her that my dick is probably thicker than average, but I never measured it. I just assumed it was. I bet her 5 dollars that it was at least average girth and I lost. She got me hard and measured it with a string. Despite being 8 inches long, It was 4.3 inches in circumference, putting me significantly below average. Now she occasionally rubs this in in a joking way. For example, today I recommended a certain type of vodka that seemed like a good deal. I said, "this is a big bottle" and she said "it's long but it's skinny" and winked at me. She does this every now and then. part of me likes that she is honest and open about! it. I don't want her to pretend that I have a different dick. So I don't want to tell her to stop- but, on the other hand, it's making me a little self conscious. Should I just get over it or tell her to stop? Is she trying to tell me I'm not thick enough? Am I really that thin? If I am should I just accept it?

Tlrr: gf insults my dick. Now I'm confused. What should I do?

My [13M] sister [20F] is rich. Is it ok to ask her for money for headphones so I don't hear mom & her boyfriend

quote:

Hello I know I'm too young for Reddit but I have no one to ask. I only use it this once I swear.

My sister is a big youtuber and she is making a lot of money. I see her on Saturday. My mom and her new boyfriend make to much noise in their bedroom. It's not so much them it's the bed makes way to much noise. It sounds like it will break in two one day even if you sit on it normally. My mom does not give me money apart from what I need for the bus.

I don't like asking my sister for money, is it alright if I ask my sister for money?

tl;dr: is it alright if I ask my sister for money?

I loving love Reddit. It's just teeming with people who evidently have no attention span.

"Help! I (29M) and my gf (30F Immortal Frog) literally don't see eye to eye!

(short-to-expansive body of text reiteration the demerits of human-frog relations)

Seriously. TLDR is probably the most offensive phrase on the internet and it's being included for NO GODDAMNED REASON except that it's part of their idiotic formula.

It's the most idiotic thing too.

Would anyone sane take advice from people that didn't read the whole thing?

The tldr should just be retrospective or something. Like a tool where after the poster vomits all their problems out, they try to summarize and then decide what is really important. Cause you know people will ramble for thousands of paragraphs and their tldr will be succinct and honestly enough information when coupled with the fact the person is posting on Reddit and you get ages in the title.

Of course it's used literally and not in the spirit of it though.

Linking might be to just wide ban doxxing or spam or something. Reddit is weird.

It's a common rule on many subreddits. It's to discourage vote brigading.
Although why that's a rule on r/relationships of all place I have no idea.

Me [16 M] with my parents [40's M/F], my parents saw me naked with a boner while I had a freind over. Now they think I'm gay.

quote:

So "Chuck" stayed over at the weekend and we did what guys do after watching porn. Chuck wanted to know how big I was and not being shy I showed him by standing on my bed stark bollock naked with a boner.
Mom walked in as I was waggling it around and then walked out.

Since then I've had multiple conversations with both her and dad about how its ok to tell them anything and how they will continue to love me no matter what I choose to do with my life.

Secretly I think they are hoping I am gay.

I'm not gay - I'd like to try a few things but thats normal isnt it?

Tomorrow I've got my boys night out with dad and am dreading it cos I know he'll ask and not believe me.

tl;dr: Parents think I'm gay, I'm not how do I convince them or do I ride it for new clothes first?

I don't know, wagglin' your boner around at a pal named "Chuck" sounds pretty gay to me.

I [30 F] have a medical problem and my husband [36 M] is being unsupportive

quote:

submitted 8 hours ago by witheredwife

I have been to the ER 4 times within the past 2 years due to chest tightness and shortness of breath. On all 4 visits the doctors ruled that it had nothing to do with my heart and may have been caused by anxiety. One doctor noted that I was possibly experiencing vasculitis.

I don't get chest tightness that often but I do get shortness of breath whem I'm sedentary. This condition is really angering my husband. He says he feels like he has a defective wife and he tells me the shortness of breath is all I'm my head.

We got into a fight just now because I can't go to bed. I can't sleep because as soon as I start to doze off I gasp for air and start to feel tingling. He doesn't believe me and tells me it's all in my head again.

I'm really upset and feel alone because I feel like he could be more supportive of me. I don't know what's wrong with me and why I feel shortness of breath.

I'm wondering if this is a red flag in our marriage or if I'm just overreacting and he is actually right about all this being in my head.

TLDR: There are several times where I would get shortness of breath and it's really irritating my husband. I feel like he could be more supportive and am wondering if his behavior is actually a red flag.

Husband [30m] wants to split joint account

quote:

Husband and I [27F] have been married for 2 years and we have had a joint account from the beginning. He contributes a lot more, but I do most of the household chores. Anyways, I recently bought a pair of running earphones but I have been using his regular kinds occasionally to commute. He wanted to use it today but I had already left with them. He now claims that I am irresponsible with money because I buy things (running earphones) and not use them. I only use them for running and I haven't had a chance to run much because of the rain. Aside from that I never spend for myself and really only use money for groceries. But now he wants me to open my own account and have our finances split in half. He said that I am wasting his money when I make less than him. On top of that, he wants me to pay him back for the tuition we paid from the joint account. I just don't think it's fair. And if we split finances, it just feels like we're not a team anymore. He said we're not a team... but that we can still be married and be a couple. What should I do? He said regardless if I consent or not, he's going to split our finances and take the tuition money back.

TL;DR husband wants to split finances and open individual accounts because I do not spend money responsibly.

What's so difficult? OP is both 20m and 25f and has a 25 yo crush that they are unaware of the gender of, and a 29f gf.

Gender is not binary or exclusive or in some cases a thing that exists at all, so get out of here with your cishetero oppression.

My husband [25M]'s desire for a better job is causing me worry, given the nature of the work. Am I [24F] wrong to worry?

quote:

Me and my husband currently live in St. Paul. MN; we moved from Altamonte Springs, FL for my husband's job. Newlyweds, been married 3 months now. We have a 2-year-old son. My husband has told me last night "I'm going to quit my customer service job in tech, providing software support, to try and make it big in Hollywood." He said I had to come and that this was non-negotiable and said I could easily get a job in Hollywood.

My husband insisted he wanted to get back into acting after years away from it, said "I always wanted to be on a big-budget film, DC Comics, whatever, maybe even a Captain America film. I need the money and this is the only way to do so. People tell me i'm a good actor.". I can't help worrying, it'll be our third move if this happens, my husband's been trying to find out where the major parties are held in Los Angeles/Hollywood and California in order to meet who he needs. He said "I absolutely need to move to Los Angeles, and we do. Better than here which is cold, gray and not so fun anymore. LA will offer us everything we need; better schools, better jobs, more opportunities."
Would i even be able to get a job in Hollywood? (I work as a carer/nurse at a day center for adults who have Down's Syndrome, and have done so for two years). We moved back to Minnesota to be closer to my family (my husband's from Altamonte Springs originally). Is there any way I can give him a reality check on this, what it's like to work in Hollywood etc., how much it'd cost to get an agent , etc.?? He said "I'll do any role, even if it's a lovely one, I need the money." I'm torn between trying to be a supportive wife and worrying about money woes; how long would it take for my husband to be successful? I need advice and don't know what to do.
ETA: Husband has acting experience, but on local level, he was in theater from ages 13 to 21. Not professionally... but he was involved in it back in Florida.
TLDR; Husband wants to quit his job and start working full-time in Hollywood as an actor. Worried over money.

i like when you can tell the op and their spouse are both monumentally stupid and deserve each other. her responses are good too
