In Training posted:I believe it was on PS1 but the one thing they majorly changed is that they gave you hints on where the find the next hidden key to progress the game and that shaved 40 hours off the completion time on howlongtobeat im not using those. i havent needed them yet anyway

I played this game so long in one sitting that the battery started dying, so now I'm stuck until its fully charged again cause I want to game in Max Comfort. It's actually taking a lot of effort not to just sit in a really stupid position so I can keep playing while it charges... *sigh*

Well I got PlatKing but I forgot the passive bonuses are dependent on job level so i need another 350 battles to max him out. Maybe tomorrow

Pro tip for almighty fighters: once you beat him just choose to go back to orgrimar and let yourself die and then you'll be able to fight him again in 2 minutes On to bonus dungeon 2

Man.. I just don't know. Maybe it's because my time is limited to weekend gaming, or a combination of things.. but.. I really want to like this game more than I actually do. It's hard for me to say that.. but it's true. I fully expect things to pick up once I unlock Alltrades Abbey but I feel like I've been reading this crappy robot story for 9 hours. I like that each island has its own little story but this one is especially long and grating on me. The camera is too zoomed in as well, and the menus are terrible. I'm bummed out.

yeah robo island is definitely the low point of the game, and it sort of highlights some of the annoying aspects of dq7s design [fetch quests, hunt the npc for the dialogue trigger, going back and forth between same areas]. i'm almost at the end it's a good game and maribel, ruff, and the knight are some of my favorite dq characters now  i'm going to probably take a break and do the post game stuff later after i play smt4 a or something else tho, had enuff dq7 after a month of playing it...

dq7 is my favourite yet i thnik. but dq8s dungeons were a bit nicer, maybe they get more complicated at the end of dq7 though, cos the ones i liked in 8 were pretty far in. and the bosses arent so challenging either. i havent fought a hard one yet. and i think i broke the game by being leet at the pair game in the casino (without writing stuff down either  ) cos i have like 100k gold now, so i put like 90k in the bank and its staying there.

the low point for me was the greensgarden thumb or w/e, but I liked that the different islands all had different flavors so if you dont like one part you know there will be something new in a few hours or so.

I really like 7 but at the same time I'll appreciate the other games not being as long or having harder enemies. I'd probably have been really annoyed with the constant fights without ways to clear them in one round after 80 hours.

Yeah I bought one or two if I had the money, but it turns out you don't need equipment if everything dies before it can do anything and half your guys have Multiheal for bosses because vocations are so busted.
