a couple of my friends worked down there one summer in the 90s, apparently downers - from draw (almost no weed in britain in the 90s) to heroin - were cheaper and more plentiful than even in the lovely bit of london we lived in also they sold a bunch of lovely cheap speed they'd bought down with them to a minor 80s tv star as coke, and spent a week hiding from him i still regret not going with them
