The townhall actually lends itself well to just taking questions from the audience, but a brief attack-speech at the start before people turn it off wouldn't be a bad idea.

Obscure to all except those well-versed in Yuuzhan Vong lore.
So now that Trump has made his non apology apology for his actions ten years ago and how he's a better man now blah blah will the Hillary campaign now drop a piece of video/audio of him saying the same type of terrible things far more recently? Because that would be checkmate.

Has any nominee in modern history imploded this hard? Also I heard that if Trump drops out (lol right) they'd run a FREE SPACE/Pence ticket with Pence stepping up in the event of a win and then appointing a VP? There's no way that happens though, right?

I think if they realize Trump is not going to show, the media will need to skip the debate. Letting Clinton talk alone may violate the equal time rules of the FCC, and will probably be treated as them being shady as gently caress.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/08/us/politics/donald-trump-apology.html

NYT posted:

For hours on Friday night, the political world waited for the rarest of expressions from Donald J. Trump — a heartfelt apology.

What viewers got was anything but.

During a 90-second videotaped appearance , Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, offered a strikingly brief articulation of regret for a decade-old audiotape in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitals and said he could have his way with women because of his fame.

But his real message, which appeared early Saturday, was one of defiance. He described the controversy that upended the Republican Party for most of Friday as a mere “distraction,” and said that his vulgar remarks captured on the tape were nothing compared with the way Bill and Hillary Clinton had mistreated women.

They can't actually do that in states that already have early voting going on, such as Florida, Michigan and Texas. There could be legal challenges to change this but lol at the thought of SCOTUS allowing it. Also the GOP's own rules state that unless a candidate steps aside, they can only replace them if they're on a spectrum that starts with incapacitated and ends with dead.

I think they are. MSNBC has, to no one's surprise, Fox is in the bubble but they're getting into "LA LA LA NOPE, WE'RE NOT DOING THIS -shuffles away-", and Don Lemon is finding his balls. Meanwhile, NYT proceeds to rip Trump's head off and WaPo proceeds to poo poo down his neck. WSJ is trying to stay neutral but failing, and even Politico is getting on it.
