Oh, also, people playing DQ builders, if you haven't tried the spin movie with a sledgehammer for harvesting... well... do that. If you don't have the spin move yet, don't bother doing any strip mining or anything yet. The Spin move let's you harvest like 16-30 blocks at once.

Oh hell I didn't know that. I was using right and left on the dpad which... maybe does the same thing? Hard to tell. There are a lot of things about the controls the game doesn't outright tell you. Also why am I doing errands for a guy who laughs like an evil man? It seems like maybe not the best plan of action.

the hard part is maintaining profit as business winds down towards the end of the season. a lot of first time players will go hog wild on weeks of all 90+ degree days, but then go bankrupt when they can't move all the ice cream they bought

He hasn't mentioned leaving since. I assume it's coincidence, but I had to wonder if giving people their own poo poo affects some unseen moral stat. Pippa hints at this by suggesting she'd be more productive if she had her own room. So if nothing else, it might increase the amount that they work in the rooms.

I just got done watching the 2014 movie Whiplash. It was pretty good, and thought I know this wasn't the kind of movie it was going for, I wish that at the end fletcher had gotten some more comeuppance because god was he a massive rear end in a top hat. Hilarious to watch, but a complete rear end in a top hat and he really deserved to get hosed over more than he did.

Somewhat gaming related, I finally got around to watching the first two episodes of Westworld and it's kind of amazing that HBO is making a prestige drama that's basically about the NPCs in an open world game becoming aware of how awful their existences are. It even has quest-givers getting brushed aside by experienced players and recycled assets and a high-level powergamer loving around with the game to try and find hidden content. The second episode even has a tutorial segment and people rolling into the beginner town on a train after they finish customizing their character.
