I don't remember Lash ever explicitly trying to kill Daisy. It always seemed like he was targeting the inhumans that she was with and, if you believe the whole "inhuman intelligent design" thing, he was there to prevent the worthy from falling/ rescue those who had.

Andrew always said Daisy was one of the good ones, but he did try to kill Lincoln multiple times. In Andrew's logic, all of the Inhumans he killed deserved it even if he couldn't exactly articulate why. They kind of backed away of him being like the Inhuman Ghost Rider later in the season and shifted his goal as being a counter to Hive.
