Hpg and canyon are liked because you dont have to walk a long way to fight plus they are ok designs with good cover. Why the gently caress do all the maps need to be so huge? I've enough delay already waiting for mechbay to load, and people to vote and connect. Walking for 4 minutes not seeing any hostiles is boring. God forbid they Nascar'd the other side. I played a polar highlands domination game recently where one locust capped out the circle before any mech saw anybody else.

How dumb am I for liking new Frozen City? There are parts of old FC I miss, like the Tunnel of Love, and the city block fighting, but new FC dispenses with the bullshit dropship centerpiece, which is unambiguously good imo.

Comparing the two Warhansa models I've finished to some Iron Winds Metals.   Conclusion:  Warhansa Fatlas Good. It'd make a nice centerpiece model for an army, it's huge without being too big to be usable. I never liked the IWM Atlas though, so this is a nice replacement. Warhansa Stubwolf Good Quality. But the PGI redesign of the Timberwolf is kinda formless poo poo from the side and back, and it doesn't have a very recognizable profile. I prefer the Iron Winds Metals Timberwolf to PGI's stubby redesign.

You weren't kidding about the Atlas being huge; looks great though. How posable are they? The only downside for the Atlas seems to be that because it is modeled based on the game asset, the joints would only be meant to flex in a few specific ways. Definitely hear you on the TBR though. There are nice things about the new model, but I hate the legs so much, especially that missing back spur. At least the print is based on the version that gets the special leg geometry with the rounded bits instead of the awful blocky one that people who buy with cbills get. It's in the Draconis Combine Sword of Light regimental colors. I was gonna put the meatball dragon on the shoulder and the sword of light symbol on the right thigh where they belong, but there just isn't a flat plane large enough for either on the PGI Atlas. It was fun to paint but it's just so busy. I wish I had a better quality camera. My phone just doesn't quite cut it. So yeah. I'd buy another Warhansa Atlas. I wouldn't buy another Warhansa Timberwolf.

No idea about their clan stuff, but most of it looked a bit crappy compared to the IS minis. BTW I'd recommend using some sort of a paint wash to shade your minis - it'll bring out whatever details are actually there on the sculpt itself, and it's really easy to do (if you've done it I can't see it in the picture). There's a reason that mini painters call washes "liquid skill".

I dont know whats up with them recently. You used to get Modules for preorders, Marauder IIC got a bonus mech, now the Supernova gets 2 decals? Grab bags used to give mechs and now a standing item? I mean a warhorn would have been nice, or a decal since theyre new, but a loving zombie statue?
