The term "Christian Dark Ages" and the meme about it holding up interstellar space travel really annoys me. The dark ages didn't happen solely because of Christians, Europe wasn't primarily Christian when they began, the dark ages didn't even lack technological innovation! They're called the dark ages because we don't have that many written records extant from that time period. JFC Jerry Cotton posted:There are two words for pre-diluvian You better call them Antedeluvians otherwise they're gonna eat you first when Caine returns!

JFC I think they just called them "Christian Dark Ages" to specify that this wasn't a world-wide event, unlike the Finno-Korean hyper-war. Probably should have used "European Dark Ages" instead though. There was a setback in europe, but things were still ticking along just fine in the islamic world, india, china, etc.

Though some kid in HS really confused a computer teacher by setting the double click time really high so it was nearly impossible to double click. Swapping left and right-click could be fun too.
