Second, it takes 2/3rds majority of Senators, so it would be impossible (one party is very unlikely to get that many Senators, so it takes something clearly indefensible to convict, ala Nixon, who got out before they did).

Mel Mudkiper posted:its a woman as the hero, and a black man and a latino man with visible sexual tension Before it came out, yeah, but most people seemed to love it. The difference between the new Ghostbusters and the new Star Wars is that the new Star Wars was really good, so only hardcore racists/misogynists complained about it being too "PC"after it came out, whereas the new Ghostbusters was mediocre, so the casual misogynists, who are much more numerous, are able to dogpile it as the worst movie and point to it as an example of "PC gone mad!"

The Senate races are more important than the Presidential race at this point in time (since Clinton will win). Clinton winning avoids a Trumpocalypse, sure, but 4 more years of absolute stagnation, with a Senate who can stall forever on SCOTUS nominations, and a continuation of the least-effective Congress ever is not a good thing.

What I heard of Birth of a Nation is it's a decent action type revenge movie but not an incredible race extravaganza like people were playing it up to be. I'll have to stick to The Jerk for that. Truly an inspirational movie about race relations in America.

FWIW, 538 pegs it at 65% chance of Dem control for the Senate atm.quote:So what exactly happens if the house attempts to impeach on day one of Hilldawg's presidency? We're more likely than not going to have a Democrat Senate, but if the Senate was still GOP, and this situation occurred, what would happen? If Hillary wins, the Senate will likely be fairly close. It is very unlikely that the Republicans would maintain a party-line Senate vote on impeachment, so it would probably stall out and fail. The news media would be in 100% freakout mode. Even if the Senate sustained an impeachment, there would be little to no political will or motivation to repeat the process for Tim Kaine, so we'd probably end up with a Kaine presidency.

The thing about impeaching Hillary is it will hilariously backfire, like it did with her husband. The other thing is Tim Kaine isn't much different than Hillary policy wise, so while they may slay the demon, they have nothing on the apprentice. I'm that 2% of Hill supporters who think she's a demon
