If you're a progressive in a battleground shithole state and itching to leave, can you hold the fort for us for at least one more electoral cycle? Think of yourself as a soldier keeping the peace in a third world country.

Might be a good sign for Dems in terms of demographic shifts, but doesn't seem to offer the Dems any immediate help with the EC map. EDIT: Sorry, that's house seats, not Electoral College. Ignore me. Finally I must ask again why not expand the House? Implement the Wyoming Rule? Is this just because they'd have to expand the building or something? Sometimes states lose congressional seats despite having higher population growth rates, it's a real paradox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apportionment_paradox quote:After the 1880 census, C. W. Seaton, chief clerk of the United States Census Bureau, computed apportionments for all House sizes between 275 and 350, and discovered that Alabama would get 8 seats with a House size of 299 but only 7 with a House size of 300.[1]:228–231 In general the term Alabama paradox refers to any apportionment scenario where increasing the total number of items would decrease one of the shares. A similar exercise by the Census Bureau after the 1900 census computed apportionments for all House sizes between 350 and 400: Colorado would have received three seats in all cases, except with a House size of 357 in which case it would have received two.

A higher voter turnout means more people participating in a democracy, and that more people care enough to vote early shows that more people are thinking about the future and emboldened to cast their vote. (Don't know what's going on with Iowa, though)
