The great empires of the world stopped trading with them out of spite and wrecked their economy (Haiti) or they finally collapsed into after being bled dry (Congo) or the mother country kept most of their liquid assets and lends them back to them at interest (French West Africa) or the terrible former social system left the country barely economically sustainable after years of sanctions (South Africa).

Belfast is a dismal place, and I wish we hadn't wasted our time going there. I was totally turned off by all the stupid memorials they had to terrorists.

If you weren't paying close attention, yesterday there was supposed to be a press conference from a woman that claims Trump and Epstein raped her when she was thirteen years old. She's suing Trump. The media has been hesitant to cover the story because it's been light on details and there are other elements about it that don't quite add up (along with some possibly sketchy connections). The press conference was supposed to have provided enough detail and clarity that might allow the media to cover it, but it was canceled due to threats.
