They're coming next Tuesday to "fix" mine, whatever that entails. I have a feeling it's deactivating certain spin cycles based on the load size. Previously they've repaired it for the pump breaking loose and dumping all of the water on the floor. Samsung washers - terrible washing machine stuff

The Door Frame posted:Huh, I thought ricing cars was a racist euphemism for making them more Japanese. The More You Know The term dates back to the 1960s, when the first Japanese import motorcycles started appearing in the US market. People called them "rice-burners," joking that the tiny Japanese engines ran on rice alcohol. The term spread to the first Japanese import cars, then to the powerful bikes that ate Harley-Davidson's lunch ("rice rockets"), and eventually "rice" and "ricer" became the slang they are today. "race inspired cosmetic enhancements" sounds so ridiculously stupid i think it in itself is meant to be derogatory as well

There we go, wikipedia even backs that up with issues of The Motor Cycle from 1966. Never think corporate marketing speak when there's always good, old fashioned racism in play. In Terrible Car Stuff I wish I could have photographed; while going through an intersection in Wicker Park, I saw the only E21 BaurCab I've ever seen in my life. It was covered in grey and red matte paint, had a large spoiler, an ugly body kit, and ridiculous rims with thin tires that barely fit under its poorly flared wheel wells. That poor, poor BMW didn't deserve the StancedLyfe, but the StancedLyfe chose it

I'll say one thing Civic owners tend to be absolute bellends and drive like utter arseholes, but Civics with a bit of power are loving fun cars to drive.

I was gonna say those are kinda cool in a sort of mad max way as runningboards/steps, but them being on the doors somewhat defeats that.

I wonder how many other cars he's gouged by ramming those side pipe things in to them when he opens the doors. Also, tool boxes on each end of the bed. Any bets on whether that air box on the hood is connected to anything?

Yeah, its connected to the hood. With adhesive.
