Bannon is a great pick. The left is going to try to explain to the public (with a straight face, no less) that he is a white nationalist by trying to tie him to the alt-right, appealing to what his ex-wife said in divorce proceedings, and pointing out that he runs Breitbart. These will all fail and make the democrats look stupid to all but the most credulous or extreme leftists. 1) To do the alt-right thing, you'll first have to explain to Joe Blow what the alt-right is. It has no spokesperson, no list of tenets that can be pointed to. It's huge umbrella term like hipster that boils down to nothing. If you can both keep Joe Blow's attention after this you'd have to tie Breitbart to the unsavory parts of the alt right. This is a hard sell and will make the democrats look like conspiracy kooks. 2) Divorce proceedings, just not credible. People say all kinds of stuff in divorce proceedings and John Q. Public will not be swayed by this. 3) Anyone you have to explain Breitbart to is either politically apathetic or old. If you keep their attention, you have to show that it is indeed white nationalist. The general public doesn't accept that an aversion to Islam and an anti-immigration policy are racist views. This kind of crying wolf is terrible for the democrats. Nativism is not racism, and Breitbart is not explicitly racist. Editing that video of what's her name is just sharp play. This is all ignoring that non-wonks have no appetite for hearing about anyone other than the President, Vice President, or maybe a high ranking Secretary in the executive branch. This move really doesn't leave Trump vulnerable and if the left tries hard to attack him on it they'll just be shooting themselves in the foot. They will though, because they cannot resist.

It's gonna be rough but this is pure strain nuts kind of along the lines of some of the rights fears about Obama coming to take their guns and white women. Yeah I'm not 100% on my predictions, but I have generally only missed the mark by underestimating how bad things will get. While I missed calling the election, I nailed exactly how Trump would run his general campaign and how he would behave. I understand how extremists like Trump/Pence/Bannon think because I was literally raised in a network of cult schools the GOP has been supporting for a half century because these cult schools are designed specifically to produce brainwashed office drones who will then go work for the GOP. These schools utilize brutal physical pain, ritual abuse, and not-loving-around hardcore mind control techniques on children starting at the age of five. The election of Trump represents the ignorant/paranoid worldview that this cult network has nurtured seizing full control of the GOP. We are NOT dealing with regular corruption or human greed here. What we have witnessed is a cult created by propaganda seizing control of first the GOP, and then the entire country. Forget everything you know about politics and human behavior, it is all basically meaningless now. We live in a country dominated by a power hungry cult that knows nothing except the absolute need to punish the other.
