3/10 isn't awful, and he needs to be out in the perimeter to give space for the Wiggins/Rubio/Dunn/LaVine drives. I do think he's better when he's more aggressive, but I understand why he thinks the looks are pretty good. The 3rd quarter thing is super weird though. My thought was they were having trouble with the halftime adjustments but its getting ridiculous.

If Dwight Howard does not win a ring (which he won't) I think he is going to be the most interesting HoF debate out of the current batch of likely HoF players. e: That's not totally true, he could totally win a ring in the twilight of his career as a traveling assassin.

I agree with you wholeheartedly but I think his overall game and the wolves would be served well with him rolling to the basket a bit more. Like, he doesn't need to get rid of the shot entirely but it would probably open up more looks for him and everyone else if he wasn't launching 10/game. edit: You already said this in a better way and I missed it.

Winslow is a no good, terrible shooter and will remain limited as a player until he improves that. He's getting a bit better at running an offense but is still the same player as last year.

He's also taking more threes, which he's really bad at. I forget where to find transition/fast-break numbers on the NBA site but I'd suspect he's ok there, as ok as a 33% shooter can be. Worth pointing out that Miami is better with him on the floor offensively since he's turning into a pretty good passer

I will say that I don't think Winslow's usage is necessarily a bad thing. The Heat were always going to be a bad team this year after losing Wade and Bosh so they might as well trial by fire their way to see if Winslow can go from a 'really bad' offensive player to an "ok" one, which will determine if he spends his career as a defensive specialist role player or a real player you can build around.

Winslow seems like a nice player to have even if he doesn't pan out completely, and he comes off like a good guy on top of that, but I'm rooting hard for him to fail so the Kaminsky thing will look better in hindsight

I bet that'd bring a few more fringe guys and second-round prospects but the exposure (and probably cash) from one year of college BB is probably going to be more valuable to the top-tier guys

Yeah. Unless some boosters are paying me hella money If I were a NBA caliber talent I might just go to the D league for a year especially if the coaches there are actually coaching NBA basketball rather than whatever Bullshit a college coach might use because they have no incentive to develop me. https://twitter.com/TerryLee__/status/798917579846930433 Yeah the D-League looks hella attractive. It's also a great way to stealth tank. Here's my favorite stealth tanking strategies in order. 1. Leave a big hole in the depth chart - claim there's no value in the market or that you want to try JJ Hickson as a small ball 5 2. Try a SG or a SF at PG - if it works then you have the next Giannis, if it doesn't you still lost a lot of games (Olapido) 3. Rookie head coach - preferably a player that just retired so he will be extra bad 4. Make a 3rd option guy your 1st option - like Winslow or Nick Young

Like I can run through every possible outcome in a tic-tac-toe game in less than 30 seconds. Connect 4 is exponentially harder to do that in.
