E_P posted:Did shoulders today. Instead of using a 90 degree bench for seated chillitary I tried it at about 105 and it felt a lot more natural but it was still enough that I didnt feel like I was using my chest. Ask the nearest gymbro to straddle you and gently touch your chest, perhaps even rub your chest a little, while you bench... to increase the muscle connection. Make sure to maintain eye contant the entire time

But thanks for the input.

You should squat with your mind instead of body

Active recovery/light activity is decent advice for when an injury isn't still an inflamed wreck. But it's only important for recovery from serious long term injuries. Actual, literal rest is great, and idiots like me should have done more of it before a shoulder problem turned into 9 months of persistent pain. Rehab routines are for when rest doesn't work or has already worked.

Squats was one of the lifts I "could do" with my hosed up shoulder and it took most of the above mentioned 9 months to realise that getting tight under the bar was stressing the gently caress out of the joint. 8 weeks, no lifting.

When I tore my rotator cuff I got a prp shot and now i don't have a hole in my shoulder.

I'm at an impasse. I hurt my shoulder at work. If I tell them they'll send me to their doctor then I'll go on light duty for the foreseeable future. Problem is that doesn't work with my wife's work schedule and our daughter. I could go to my own doctor but our healthcare sucks and I can't afford it (yes firefighters have lovely healthcare). Plus if I go there then work won't cover anything, even though it happened there. So I'm just taking it easy and hoping it heals before it gets worse.
