Does it auto download? The option to play it is just greyed out for me on the PC. Do I have to beat all the character stories first? Not that I'd do anything but skip the cut scenes and mash through, I'm farming baby.

It doesn't help that all the models and texture work in the game look like nightmares. The red bull chun li one just exaggerates the problem and makes her look like on of those inflated muscle fetish drawings you see posted in the GBS deviantart thread.

token often cited image It probably seems not intuitive if you're just starting with a stick cause you think of a joystick as giving you a circular range of motion and the octogon is closer to a circle than a square, but an octogate gives you a smaller area to hit the diagonal inputs. Also when it comes to being precise with your inputs, having the sharp corners of a square gate gives you a lot more feedback. E.G. when you're doing a DP motion you know that you're hitting it right (for the down, down forward part) when you bring the joystick down and then slide it over till you feel the corner.

DP was the exact input that I couldn't do on it reliably (and even fb's weren't perfect) and I'd never had any probs before at the arcade or on an older stick. Maybe it's just that specific one?

Intel&Sebastian posted:Yeah I'm not afraid to do so, I was just wondering if square and balltop is default everywhere I'm using an optical switch so I don't get the audible clicks when I actuate my stick, riding the octagate helps me input special shortcuts really easily without these references other players are expecting on their square gates (they get the loud and tactile CLICK of hitting the switch, so in its place gate riding is kind of nice) Also glued a bar to prevent the joystick from being able to hit the "up" switch or even move it upwards, rewired the upswitch to a button and now I have a jump button!

Man I started picking up this game again and kinda enjoying it. I really, really hope they shake it up with the S2 update though because man, I really would like it to be good. Honestly cribbing from other combo systems and opening up the mechanics, but adding heavy proration to combos that start with light attacks would do a lot to open the game up without running into the LP into 450 damage combo that they seem to be terrified of. For some reason I just can't get in to Revelator as much. It's not the inputs or anything, just for some reason I don't like the feel of gatling combos? Pretty excited for Tekken 7 though! Can't wait to pick that up, play it for a month and then give up because it's so hard to learn.
