The other thing, the thing that really puts a cold feeling in my stomach, is there's no way the Packers have actually gotten good. We lost to a trash team, and this weekend the Texans will prove it. Watch Jadeveon Clowney and those guys hold Rodgers to one TD, get at least three sacks and snag at least one drop and really just rub in the embarrassment. If we lose to the Bengals next week I'm celebrating Sam Bradford Day early with a fifth of JD and a bathtub of the fartiest coors to wash it down

I still turn on every game with the same dread I had last year. The first couple of drives every game where Dak and Zeke look like rookies always makes me feel like it's just another loss. Luckily they seem to keep turning it around and winning, so I'm just enjoying things. It's finally getting cold in florida I need to break out the old starter jacket. It's hard not to be optimistic when you're 11-1, though. Mr. Nice! fucked around with this message at 17:42 on Dec 2, 2016 |

If that were even remotely true then Romo would be starting right now. Putting aside the "hot hand" bullshit, Dallas is tacitly admitting that Dak is the more valuable QB by starting him over Romo. Dak's ability to run is more valuable than Romo's pure passing skills, and if you take away the QB running threat Dallas probably has at least 1 more loss than they do already.

Dak is better than Romo. That's why he's starting and Romo is riding the pine.

a new study bible! posted:Dak is better than Romo. That's why he's starting and Romo is riding the pine. Yeah I don't think so. It is absolutely a hot hand situation. Dak could wind up a better QB than Romo within the next two years if he continues to improve. But he is still a drat good rookie behind one of the best offensive lines in football. Romo would not have been as effective on the run, yes. But he also would have been a much bigger threat downfield. Defenses right now are content to try and beat the Cowboys up front, since Zeke is the more immediate threat.

For the future, sure. But right now they would have Prescott backing up Romo so that argument doesn't really hold water when discussing who the Dallas Cowboys think is better quarterback right now. NotWearingPants posted:"Hot hand" is bullshit. If the Dallas Cowboys thought Tony Romo was better than Dak Prescott he would be starting. Reps matter. By benching dak you lose out on those game time reps and you risk him getting out of sync with the offense. Romo is not the better option and at anyone who thinks he is.
