The only thing I wish we would have seen was Mac on a flaming motorcycle and the flaming shotgun axe. Besides that that was an absolutely fantastic episode.

Maybe they're saving it for an all possessed cast. I have difficulty believing that they won't do a flaming quinjet or a flaming Lola or a flaming Deathlok.

Ghostlok WOULD be amazing, but it seems sort of redundant given he's already enhanced. Also seems like he has most of his poo poo in order by this point, not a lot of vengeance left to seek. Flaming Lola would be fun as hell, as would a flaming Zephyr.

The only issue I see with Coulson is that given his lack of powers, he would likely have to be a gun-focused character, which will almost certainly be a role filled by an RE hero - probably Leon.

That'd be OK. He's got enough unique stuff that he could be interesting: base weapon is an icer, some melee stuff to regain range, rocket punch as a melee special, destroyer gun (from the avengers) as a ranged special, robot hand shield, maybe the ability to call in strikes. There's certainly enough uniqueness there to make him an interesting character.

They could treat him sort of like a summon type too where his specials are calling on other agents to do strikes so we could see AoS, MCU, and comic SHIELD characters coming in and doing stuff. Though more realistically, I see them more likely doing that with Fury and Coulson/Quake/Mockingbird/Cobie Smulders are the called in characters.

The Coulson ones are cool, but the best is the last one with Ben Kingsley. If you disliked Iron Man 3 for not having the "real" Mandarin, this short redeems the movie. It even has a funny mid-credits scene. And music by Mike Post :iamafag:

This is Urotsuki.
The problem with Mace is that his boy-scoutness feels like a front. Whenever he's onscreen, there's a notable discomfort about him. So far, it's just been the standard "SHIELD Director needs to keep things from people sometimes" stuff. But, between Jemma noticing he was lying about heroic actions and vaguely threatening, restrained air he gets while talking to the reporter about inhumans is disconcerting. Throw in the fact that he literally cannot be harmed and can mash most humans into a pulp and things are really tense.

Like I said, I hope it turns out in the end the front he's putting up is for the good of everyone and his deep, dark secret is just that he's a normal spy trying to put a public consumer-friendly face on SHIELD to get it back into people's good graces. Coulson seems to trust and admire him, which he did with Gonzales and his crew, so I'm hoping it turns out the same way (minus Mace's death). Still, the potential for an Irredeemable level meltdown is there.

Watching you sleep.

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

I'm taking the "Mace is what he appears to be" stance, myself. I think the reason his nature comes off as forced is because its so foreign to the situation and everyone is looking for more. As others have said, the conflict with the character seems to be that he really is what he appears to be and that makes him much less equipped to the job than Fury or Caulson who are cynical enough to make peace with what they have to do. I agree with the poster who said when Mace breaks under the pressure or screws up its going to be big because he's too idealistic and that idealism is going to be crushed by the very thing that leads all the other spies to doubt him.

Apparently so. You'd think they'd be eager to drag Deathlok in on this one. If only to show they can rely on more than just Inhumans.
