You might have a junk drawer- but EVERY one is like that. Matchpacks half gone, and notes on receipts, of yesteryear's birthday cards, home sale paperwork from 1998. Browned receipts, baubles, and strings. These were a few of her hoard-worthy things. Emotionally, I'm still numb. You kind of have to be to hold someone as they die, or so I'd hope. I just want to get this done so I can get on to the next crisis.

Added advantages: I circumvent the over-zealous content filtering system (yeah I'm sure this Linux blog post is full of porn, guys) and I can use the same setup when I'm on public wifi.

I don't see it hurting the seals any more than the oils you put it in there to dissolve, and most of it would flash off before you even closed the lid. I know I'll be rebuilding my pump from all the grit I put through the wash long before that's ever an issue. And really, aren't most of the seals nitrile or silicone? at least in the newer stuff

just noticed at lunch that my Crown Vic is leaking oil again. It doesn't seem to be the just-replaced oil cooler hoses - it seems to be coming from above them, so either I didn't cinch the oil filter tight (I did), or the brand new oil pressure sender is leaking. I couldn't tell without getting it up higher and crawling under. Whelp, it'll have to wait until Saturday. It's cold and dark when I get home. I'll just drive the RX-7 or keep a close eye on the oil level. At least the heater is fantastic on the '7 (the two things rotaries produce most is noise and heat. Occasionally shrapnel.)

ASMR isn't so bad. Someone just talking in a soothing voice can be relaxing. I'll put one on to help me sleep once in a while. I don't get tingles, it's basically white noise to me. Same as rain, thunder, birds or whatever.

At-fault driver finally called her insurer back, although to punctuate how lovely Erie Insurance is I found out when Enterprise contacted me saying the insurer had arranged for a rental car. Had to call them back to find out if they finally reached her or if they were just putting me in a rental car to shut me up - I told a supervisor earlier today that I would be calling every day until there was some kind of movement on my claim. Got my rental from last Friday moved over to insurance coverage, now I can relax until after the New Year.
