It's 2016 and we've taught machines to play Mad Libs.

I went to see a movie the other day and bad translation had the ticket machine offering to sell me an "ATM Hot Dog Package". I declined.

Machines have been playing Mad Libs for 40 years but its an artform trying to get them to spit out stuff that is the right amount of grammar to glue together the non-sequiturs.

Add one inch of sugar or one pint of cream, either is fine they look about the same.

Edit: "Be filled with bread or toast or a combination of these two extremes" is going into my email sig.

One olive is too many olives. One olive slice even.

Olive oil though, that's what olives exist for. Their only purpose on this planet that doesn't involve ruining otherwise amazing things.

Tartar sauce is to fish as steak sauce is to steak.

ie, while it tastes fine on its own the only reason to slather your meal in it is because either you don't like what it's masking or because the fish/steak has been horribly cooked and it's the only way it's edible.

Chocolate caramel pretzels. They had a really good idea about how to make them since they already had a bag of Rolos, but never really stopped to think about the logistics of it.
