A pre-Christmas visit to the Mercedes factory by Valtteri Bottas has given the firmest indication yet that he is set to secure the seat vacated by Nico Rosberg at the German car manufacturer.

The only thing I'm upset about this is Massa returning because he had a great send off. Oh well.

To be fair, you can't really lead from anywhere but the front.

No but you can lose from the front, or win having been lower down the order. Massa was absolutely useless at the latter. He either lead the entire race or lost (bar two lucky inherited wins)

Our Rossie is so skilled a driver he didn't even try to win and he still won.

If i remember correctly, he was trying pretty hard to get the team to tell Hamilton to let him by.

Really the only chance he had of passing.

Just like when he was trying to hit the apex.

He still can't believe Hamilton turned in on him like that.

And the germans are constant trying to stake claim to real estate they have no right to through force. In the end they always end up as just another black mark on history.

The Piquet bus is amazing, and I'm glad I saw it.

I think Webber and Alonso have both given each other a ride. Erm, on the car.

There's no real maximum capacity because so much of it is infield general admission. I think it's about 250k seated and 400k total. Last year they stopped selling tickets at 350k.

The last one I could really come up with that I think other racing fans that don't watch indy would know is the pushrod win and I can't even put a year to that other than mid 90s.

I'm gonna say it every day until I die: the ads are unbearable, but NBC's coverage is vastly superior to Sky in literally every other way. Sky's F1 coverage is among the worst sports broadcasts in the world. Just awful.
