Concerned Citizen posted:i guess 125k is means-tested, but 90% of people fall below it so i don't think it's exactly like other means tested programs. Why should the top ten percent of people not be entitled to programs funded with their tax dollars, is going to be the obvious line of attack. And unlike most other reactionary arguments it's got a good point. Also, why should we be setting up public programs that encourage class segregation in higher learning?

$125k at the household level can mean two parents each working $62.5k jobs. That's gonna eat substantially into the middle class.

Tatum Girlparts posted:lol middle class continues to have no meaning Yeah, it doesn't. Especially with income disparity where 62k can mean you're basically made in one place and completely poo poo in the other. Median household in NY is between 60-65K, but you're looking at over 70K in parts of NYC.

how about we have progressive taxes that fund things which benefit the public and then we give the public equal access to the things idk maybe thats crazy maybe its better for working people who earn somewhat more money to be forever embittered against working people who earn somewhat less money

Maybe Russia hacked the votes to make Hillary lose so that most American left leaners become more radicalized by Bernie and eventually move toward Communism. In the long run, this will result in America becoming an hammer and sickle country.
