Those bosses have twice the hp of the other bosses in that area. How could that be anything but a mistake? The follow up question is how in the world play testers didn't notice that but whatever we all know mods will fix all that crap in time regardless if niclas does. Rag man is still randomly tanky compared to other bosses I guess

Ragman has the same amount of health as Monstro. It's a bit more than some other stage 1 bosses but those generally will have invincibility periods (Pin) or unavoidable spawns (The Haunt, Duke of Flies, Widow).

Monstro has a stupid easy pattern to make up for it, Rag Man spawns very spastic spiders and shoots homing bullets at you. He really should have less health, a base damage Isaac can't kill his head before spawns if he takes even a half second to start shooting it.

I basically always kill the head even on base damage. You're generally shooting him anyway so you can just follow the head.

The trick is that shooting his head damages both Rag Man and the as-yet-unspawned spider, so if you always just focus on the head as soon as he starts you'll normally get the spider within a couple of shots of death even if you're on base damage. I'd consider Rag Man easier than (say) Gurglings or Dingle, while still being an interesting fight unlike Monstro.

Eating the Forget-Me-Now with Void is preeeeetty stupid, you guys.

It's also guaranteed - assuming I don't die of boredom first - that I can get Dad's Key so I can knock Mega Satan off Apollyon's to-do list. Doesn't matter that I'd have to leave Void behind, because all it can do right now is reset floors. Picking up Chaos early on from a shop is making things even sillier. Void's a pretty good item. Shame the character who comes with it is pointless.

E: Oh. Hey. Did you know that quitting out of the game and continuing later will make Void forget what it's eaten? Because I didn't!

I do that, and it's still annoying because he can spam head tosses and heal up. It's not hard, it's...why is this a basement fight? Why do I need to be THAT on point in the first fuckin' floor? That's the core of my complaints about this game's expansions, it's not that it's more DIFFICULT, it's more boring and I can't be bothered sometimes. Also if you're consistently killing the head before it spawns a spider on base Isaac damage you're a way better player than I am.

Also Dingle is braindead easy and there's no chance of random RNG loving you there.

Install it to the rebirth directory. Default is C:program files/steam/steamapps/common/The Binding of Isaac Rebirth. If it still crashes on launch, try running as administrator. If it still crashes, copy the 'resources' folder into the antibirth folder (this was the problem I had, someone in this thread said to try and that fixed it.)

It's like when you run into Envy on your first room; just reset and you'll clear the Basement faster than if you fight it.

And yeah, Dingle is a great example of a well designed boss fight. I thought it was super hard at first, but now that I've got the hang of it and learned all of his patterns (read: no RNG) it's super easy.

I'm a huge completionist and got every achievement in Rebirth and Afterbirth, but I don't think I'll be doing Greedier mode at all. I could hold R for a restart until I can break the game, but that sounds like an exercise in frustration. Beating Delirium with every character will probably happen, because all I need is to get an overpowered run on any random run, which happens.

I can tell you that Mom's Knife is a horrible pickup if you want to fight Delirium, which is too bad because it made the run up to him completely trivial.

If you have a Hush run, you have a Delirium run, which is pretty okay, I feel. Mom's Knife is probably a bad pickup against it tho, now that I think about that fight.

I think Hush is probably harder than Delirium if they tone down his spastic blinking towards the end. Also there seem to be other ways to get into the Void from the Womb, Dark Room or Chest so you might not have to beat Hush every time.

Speaking of Delerium: How does The Void work? There was a whole pile of boss rooms, the first one I did was a blastocyst, and after beating it there was an item and a spooky thing happened. Second boss room I went into was Delerium. Are they just in a specific / random boss room, or is it a triggered thing? Sadly didnt beat them due to those drat red poops.

Also, I'm thinking about cheat engining to get keeper's unlocks: does anyone know of a cheat table for that?

I took it as Mom and Dad fought a lot, Dad left and Isaac started blaming his mother and misbehaving in general. Post it notes on the walls in the final ending show his doodles getting more and more violent and dark until he locks himself in the chest to die. His mom hangs the missing poster up hoping to find her son but eventually finds him after some time has passed and buries him on the hill. The shadow figure is possibly his dad.

Like the game itself is just stuff Isaac is daydreaming and scribbling out on post it notes- kids obviously a little disturbed.
