i didn't even mind how windows 7 looked like, it was fine, and i definitely think that drop shadows, gradients and blurring are all good things when used in moderation but for the last several years microsoft has been going "flat! flat! flat!"

aero glass was the software equivalent of the leds on a gaming laptop, and especially bad on titlebars where they had to add a lovely halo to the text to keep it legible

my old man got me a cheap win 10 2 in 1 for Xmas. every time I close the lid, it does a bing search in edge for elephant trunk hill and tries to open two copies of papers, please concurrently. im not sure what's going on, this is a new frontier
