That's including with Ditto, and male or genderless Pokemon have a 20% of passing down their Hidden Ability if bred with Ditto. All other times it's a coin flip between their non-hidden abilities.

Pretty sure is the same as the past couple of gens and you're right. The species determining parent (female or non-Ditto) passes whichever ability it has 60% of the time, plus there is a 20% chance of it picking each of the 2 regular abilities.

I wanna know why that guy tried to extreme speed the Cofagrius in the first place. Ally switch only had +1 priority in Gen VI and even if it had +2 extreme speed would of gone first since Rayquaza is faster.

Videos like that are either faked, or are put together after several failed attempts at getting something to happen with that.

I decided to catch a Speed Boost Sharpedo. Getting one of those fuckers to call for help happens one every 10 turns or so. I finally found a HA one on the 29th chain. I hated every moment of it, but at least I bred a shiny Speed Boost Carvanha out of it. Help me think of a name for this fabulous toothy monster! And I'll probably give some away once I get enough. They're in Luxury Balls because gently caress trying to get one in a Beast Ball after all that (they try to swagger each other too) .

Yeah, it's better to catch a different one in a Beast Ball later on and have it breed it with the HA mon*. That way you're able to soft-reset if it takes more than ten Beast Balls. By breeding those two you might lose some decent IVs in the process (since the HA mon was caught in a SOS chain) but with a hacked Ditto it's not that hard to get back to and surpass that point. *doesn't work for genderless Pokemon Mierenneuker fucked around with this message at 11:31 on Jan 7, 2017 |

I'm trying to build a VGC team and want to use Milotic and Arcanine, since they're on my top 5 favorites anyway and appear to be good in battle this season. I also want to use Ninetales-A because the original one was also a longtime favorite. However, I have no loving idea how to synergize and make Pokémon compliment each other in doubles. My thoughts are: -Milotic, Standard defensive Competitive ability set -Arcanine, Timid bulky Intimidate set like the Dallas regionals -Ninetales-A, Timid Aurora Veil support set Now for the rest, maybe Garchomp or a Tapu?

I'm trying to wrap my head around how Speed Swap works. And maybe it turns out it's not fuckin' worth it, whatever. One of you high tier guys has to have determined whether it's useful at all. I'm guessing it just takes the speed stat numbers of the two Pokemon and swaps them, right? Like say Pheromosa's speed is 223 at L50, and partner Snorlax is 60. Pheromosa kills some poo poo and BEEST BOOST gives it a +1 making its speed effectively 334 (as I understand it: 223*3/2?). If it Speed Swaps Snorlax, does that make Snorlax's speed stat effectively 223 or 334? I don't know how the hell I'd test that out.

Yeah it's bullshit how they gave this move to a tiny few fast Pokemon only, instead of letting some slow fuckers run wild with it. Also none of the mons that get it can continue fighting with poo poo like Sucker Punch after they inherit someone else's lovely speed. Stats are recalculated upon Mega Evolving, right? I was thinking it might be fun to have Pheromosa swap speed with +atk/-speed Mega Garchomp, but I'd have to wait til turn 2 after he went Mega. Might still work in Battle Tree though.

Okay, I finally finished the main game and hit the ground running on post-game content. I got caught with my pants down at the Battle Tree since I forgot you get challenged by Red/Blue when you enter the area the first time. I had 4 Pokemon left and had to potion-scum my way to a victory. Then I spent some time refreshing the GTS and scored one of those totally legit Lv100 shiny 6IV Dittos holding a Destiny Knot for... a Lv1 Litten. Then I immediately put said Ditto into the daycare with a Beast Ball Castform some wonderful person wonder traded me a week ago, and now I'm making tons of little weather babies for the GTS. The QoL improvements for hatching eggs this gen are phenomenal: - The Tauros trick means you just hold down a button and spin the analog stick to make and hatch eggs. - The egg-holding lady doesn't have to be scrolled off-screen for you to know whether an egg is ready. - When you get a new egg and your party is full, you have the option to replace a party member or send it straight to the PC. (IMO the best system change this gen) - If you have a surplus of extra eggs, you can drop them off at Poke Pelago and they hatch themselves after several hours. Guys I really like Gen 7.
