Concerned Citizen posted:yes clearly hillary lost due to yard signs Personally I think you are undervaluing the significance of a concrete symbol like a yard sign. Seeing people tangibly supporting a candidate in large numbers publicly could definitely sway someone's decision to go vote or who to vote for. Obviously it's not the deciding factor but tbqh I'd rather have $2m spent on something like yard signs than Yet Another Music Video Starring Beyonce, Now Watch This Hillary Cameo On Broad City.

If campaigns want to sell them fine whatever but actually paying for yard signs is lighting money on fire Hillary had terrible memes cobbled together by committee so I'm glad she wasted millions of dollars on "We go high, when they go low!" and other garbage made by the kids of politically connected rich elites. also, I got a hot tip for you from my admittedly non-professional campaign volunteer experience. If you can get a guy a sign, you can also do things like offer them signs for local races, or bumper stickers, or something like that. In fact, maybe this is a top secret Texas election pro-tip I'm blowing the lid off, a lot of 'big' election offices keep signs for down ticket races they support too, like for Texas governor we also moved a lot of judge signs and poo poo because people asked for one and we could tell them the other would be good too and poo poo. It was almost like some kinda package deal thing where the top of the ticket...supports the bottom????

nyt article on iowan trump voters pretty sad hot takes from it: most former obama voters in 2008 and maybe 2012, gently caress the poor (don't give my money to the undeserving), socialism will fuckin murder us all (gently caress the ACA), drug test welfare patients, and it's okay that trump is stocking his cabinet with the rich, the rich are smart people and will most certainly replace their own need to make money with our needs for jobs https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/us/donald-trump-iowa-conservatives.html
