It's the "normal" Democrats who I've seen the most hate for him from.

Tinsley just sad that no-one will mourn his passing. Did, uh Is this set of numbers a policy that can legally be called an insurance policy post-ACA? I thought that companies were voluntarily cancelling that poo poo, hence the "keep your doctor" nontroversy.

It's super weird to assume that any given person has never had someone they care about pass away (unless he's trying to say that whoever he could be criticizing doesn't care about anyone). It is even stranger that this cartoon about 2017 predictions is dated 1-14. Unless 14 specifies today for some reason, but who in the US would think that? After looking at the others, I guess it is the day. That's what I get for going to college I guess. dougdrums fucked around with this message at 08:36 on Jan 14, 2017 |

Do you mean "not being impeached"? Cause that was kind of expected.

New Tinsley strips go up at midnight, so the 1-14 date is correct. I have no idea if the artist or an editor adds the date though. This IS the guy who regularly forgets Veterans Day.

Vib Rib posted:Kris Straub over at ChainsawSuit made what I say counts as a political cartoon. This guy is one of my favorites - i actually bother to have him bookmarked - and his political-wait-not-political toons are okay (see his BLM burning houses metaphor series) but this one DONE RANKLED ME because here he is, a comedian, and jestmaker, a literal 'toonist, telling people that if they actually want to affect change, they need to stop calling Trump names, and/or making fun of him. At the basest level, it's asking you to take Trump seriously. He wants YOU to do this. Meanwhile, he's humping over to San Antonio at the end of the month to sling his Candle Cove "ain't eldricth horror swell when it's juxtaposed with sweet minimalist cartoony art" books, he's still getting to wet his beak ever so slightly in public discourse when it pleases him and he himself is excused from loving doing whatever he thinks everyone else should be doing. So nut up, Straub. What are YOU doing to stem the tide of terror to come in the next eight years? Drawing more (admittedly funny) bullshit? How about you lead by example.

21 Muns posted:Wasn't the early anger about Bush mostly a consequence of the absurdly close election (decided by less than a thousand votes), in which he lost the popular vote while winning for the first time in over a hundred years? No, the anger about Bush was because the Supreme Court stopped the second recount when it looked like Bush was going to lose it. The vote was 5-4, with all five justices who voted to stop the election having been appointed by Republican presidents (Rehnquist by Nixon, the other four by Reagan or Bush Sr).
