The old polypro ones are pretty terrible. I mean they're warm but don't breathe at all, and I've heard stories about some really awful nipple chafing. The new waffle ones are better but I usually just wear my merino stuff whenever I can get away with it.

The only thing I wish I still had was my peacoat. That and my crackerjacks got lost in one of the many moves I had to make with like zero time to pack up properly. Everything else I threw away as soon as my true EAOS was up.

I have an extra pea coat I wear pretty regularly. I've had one in my wardrobe since my high school years. Great coats.

I tried my peacoat on a few years after I got out, and I think someone switched it with a child's coat. I couldn't move my arms.

That's cool man. My 965th AACS flying scarf hangs on a doorknob in my room. I never got a 962nd AACS one.

And my leather jacket? No idea where that went.

Mine's in the closet. Comfy as gently caress, but even though I wouldn't be the only non-uniform to wear it, I just can't go that far. I'll stick my patches on the wall and go by my callsign, but can't do the jacket.

Edit: I wear my godawful Oakley gascans when we're working out on the ranges because they're reasonably good eyepro for dust, and I have no idea where my Wiley Xes went. I've got two spare sets of lenses, naturally.

Wiley X makes pretty decent regular sunglasses. I have a pair of Romer 2s and Romer 3s. Got the 2s in 2005, 3s around 2011. Somehow haven't lost or broke either, but the lenses are scratched as gently caress.

Checking in that I have a pile of Crossbows and ReVision eye pro from deployments. Great for cycling eyepro, and all around eyepro.

The sleep shirt, thermals, all own.

Boot socks are great. Like, I'd rather have boot socks than standard socks.

We should definitely be talking about loafers or house slippers or something instead.

You know what keeps me warm? Wearing a bath robe and staying inside.

My sweet rear end house slippers I got a few weeks ago are cooler than your fox river socks.

Champion sweats are well priced and I love the option for non-elastic legs.

Hey, is this the thread where we bitch about doing taxes?

'Cause all I'm waiting on is the fuckin' tax form from goddamned TSP.

Oh, and I'm still waiting on that bullshit "this person has had healthcare as mandated by the ACA" form from EITHER Tricare or the VA.

Dutch oven came in today. The 4.5 quart size works out pretty well for my needs.

First up is a tomato sauce. No frills: garlic, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, butter and a half cup of olive oil.

Here's all that reducing before dumping in the crushed tomatoes, a few hunks of carrots, half an onion, and bay leaves

Welp see ya in about three hours!
