Sure it was a legacy thing but ultimately the NBA is ok with fans picking a more marketable player. They let rookie Yao start over Shaq. I think Embiid makes it pretty easily. Take the top 7 front court dudes and the top 5 without Wade. Walker is the only one I would feel guilty about.
