Reminder to millennials that their generation sucks. In the 80s we had toys for Robocop, Rambo, Aliens, Predator, Terminator, etc. And NES games to match.

And our PG movies had tits and cursing.

Even kids movies specifically targeted at kids had tits and cursing.

And even then I felt like an awkward fanboy, but thats the Chicagoan in me thinking no one wants to be talked to by a stranger, ever. Could have been actually awkward if I had listened to my friends who told me I should have called him Susan and yelled HACK FRAUDS at them or any of the other memes.

I've long held a personal theory that Blade Runner is only highly regarded because nothing else attempted to go for the same sort of visual or musical style. You look at the mass amount of amateur generated material that shares the same sort of dark neon lit future visuals and synth heavy score and I can't help but think if you had two or three halfway decent big films following the same style blade runner would be regarded as hot trash.

Attack of the clones took a lot of imagery from blade runner, you could say it was its spiritual successor. :)

In many ways, Attack of the Clones was superior to blade runner.
