Proving, yet again, that 1 2 Switch should have been a pack-in game and nothing more. Surely Nintendo would have 0 issues eating the development cost of it, if it sold more consoles. It's just mind boggling that it's a stand-alone title.

1-2-Switch is going to flop, but Jackbox will cover that nongamer-friendly party genre way better anyway.

gently caress yes, I no longer have to bring my laptop with me to my friends parties to play Quiplash! Not even kidding, this is a thing I have been asked to do multiple times. No, I don't know why they haven't bought it themselves.

1-2 Switch is going to do fine. A large part of their advertising is for that game. They are targeting 20 somethings that actually have friends. That's a lot of people. Just not the hard core gamers.

So many games coming out for the Switch i'm keen for now, pre-order was a good idea

Yeah I'm pretty happy with Zelda (for solo gaming) and 1,2,Switch (for rooftop parties) on launch day. Then Mario Kart in April. Then Arms. Then Splatoon 2. Maybe one more before Mario for the holidays. If these games all came out on launch day I'd probably still only buy two. So it was a good move to keep the steady stream going the rest of the year.

You basically use your phone for multiplayer matches, voice chat, etc.

Looks like Splatoon 2/Switch in general is going to use some sort of smartphone app for doing lobby and voice chat?
|
# ? Feb 2, 2017 03:14 |
It makes sense. If you're out on the road you're going to have to tether to your phone if you want to play online matches. Phone basically acts as a microphone so they don't need to add that hardware to the Switch itself.

I do, but they're bluetooth and I have no idea whether the switch will support bluetooth headsets even if it has the capability to do so, like the PS4. I'm also not trying to defend nintendo's decision, just offer an explanation. Poops Mcgoots fucked around with this message at 03:30 on Feb 2, 2017 |

Its much better than those games, but out of the third jackbox i like Fakin it and Tee KO the most. Drawful is probably the best one, but its not in the third.
