He got big posting inflammatory blog posts and articles about millenials and "the gay problem" which all got passed around by conservatives like articles by a black man supporting the KKK. One of the most effective war cries on the right is actually just liberal autistic screeching, which Milo is an expert at eliciting. I keep saying this. Conservatives love watching liberals cry foul at the rules of their safe space game being violated, and they'll back anyone who can keep the show going.

The thing is Milo would have been held up like a golden calf the moment the right became aware of him. "Look a gay man that agrees with us! See! See! Why would a gay man support us if our policies where bad for him" some one said it earlier that Milo was basically the "I'm not homophobic look I have a gay friend" of the right. So at this point protesting probably has a negligible affect, except denying him speaking money from college Republicans.

Aww who am I kidding he probably takes the money if it gets cancelled anyway.

Full interview hasn't aired yet, but in the clips released, he did another one of those 'Russia kills people, we kill people, we're not better than them' routines that he did during the campaign. A bit different when it's the president talking, so everyone's angry.

In an interview to be aired ahead of the Super Bowl later on Sunday, Bill O’Reilly asked if Trump respects Russian President Vladimir Putin, to which the he replied, “I do respect him. Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’ll get along with them.”

Seemingly surprised, O’Reilly goes on to ask him why.

"He is the leader of his country. I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS – which is a major fight – and the Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing,” Trump answered.

“Will I get along with him? I have no idea.”

O’Reilly then challenged Trump, calling the Russian president “a killer.”

Trump shrugged the comment off, saying: “There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country is so innocent?”

Pence was incapable of giving a simple affirmation that the United States is morally superior to Putin's Russia. I think the US has massive problems that we need to strive to correct, but for the president and vice-president to not unequivocally state that the United States is several orders of magnitude better than Putin's Russia is just utterly insane.

If you want to compare us to Russia over history and say we're not so innocent, I mean yeah, I can't argue that.

This was specifically about Putin, who...uh..didn't get elected legally, constantly orders murders of reporters and stuff, was head of KGB, all sorts of awful stuff.

So he's like the worst traits of Nixon, Bush 1, Trump, yet still even worse than how that all sounds.

What Trump probably meant or should have said though is "Putin and I are totally butt buddies" instead of equivocating the entire country of the USA with Vladimir Putin.

Found an article regarding the town hall yesterday with Rep. Tom McClintock in Roseville, CA. A lot of the talk was centered on Obamacare, but it was basically exactly what you would have expected to hear from the Republicans. Yes, Obamacare is bad and needs to go away as soon as possible. No we don't have a plan ready to take over. Yes, our plan is going to be much better than Obamacare. No, we don't have any idea what that actually means.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/republicans-obamacare-repeal-town-halls-234651

Dennis Revell, chairman Placer County Republican Party, attributed the high turnout at the town hall to “an organized effort within the Democratic and progressive movement in this country to attempt to become the liberal equivalent of the Tea Party. They’re entitled to do that. There’s a very good member of Congress standing here in the middle of Coliseum as the liberal gladiators attempted to attack him.”

Ah. There we go. If there's people protesting, it's because they must be some crazy fringe element like the Tea Party. Then for some reason a town hall meeting gets compared to arena combat, with upset constituents cast as enemy gladiators.

Former Vice President Joe Biden exchanges high-fives, laughs and photo with preschoolers

quote:

Preschoolers from the Goddard School located in Bethesda, Md. were greeted to the surprise of former Vice President Joe Biden Monday morning who happened upon them.

A Goddard School teacher, present at the time, said Biden approached the youngsters and struck up a conversation.
Next thing you know, the preschoolers and Biden were exchanging high-fives, laughs and even taking a picture, the Goddard School owner Michael Pesi tells us.
“The former VP Joe Biden showed up in an impromptu manner and made the lives of several students and teachers at our preschool," Pesi says. “Although he had a strenuous schedule, he took the time to meet with our teachers and children and take a picture in the main lobby. We couldn’t have been more excited and honored.”

You're right. Sorry.

I keep thinking of the Tea Party as the crazies, but that they were also effective. In context here, he probably is referring to the effectiveness and not the other aspects. I just sort of assumed it was an attempt at an insult, when your read is probably closer to the intent. I guess I'm just so used to the current White House's style of communication where everything said is intended as an insult or attack in some way.
