This game really does look like a check list cash grab to keep Mass Effect relevant, and I say this as a gigantic Mass Effect fanboy that wanted a 4th game. Not much longer until it's finally out and I really want to believe the marketing has just been awful.

Those new shots look great. I am confident that the game will at least be "pretty good" and that's all I need from a game I pay full price for.

That's a shame, cause a female Krogan teammate would give a nice and different perspective of the species/genophage to interact with.

As long as the game doesn't have a persistent CTD one hour in, and a way to corrupt any save file made during the last third of the game, I will probably be okay with my purchase.

I said come in! posted:If a AAA developer with the backing of the largest publisher in the game industry is cutting corners that obvious, then it's reasonable to expect the parts of the game that matter are going to be a problem too. it's hard to think of a large complex game that doesn't have similar occasional graphical glitches. Seems to me like people are just nitpicking because they have already decided this game will be awful for whatever reason.

I think people would be more forgiving of the typical wonky facial animations if there was something, anything, showing the basic gameplay loop of Andromeda for more than 5 curated seconds at a time.

I hate to break it to you, but there has been an abundance of games released this year that looked good in previews, were given extensive hands-on time, and continued to be good upon release. The kind of backwards thinking at work itt that Andromeda MUST be good because we've seen almost nothing of it, and why does Bioware need to show us that anyway(?) hurts my brain. The level of oohing and aahing over a couple still frames is reaching Star Citizen ship.jpg proportions.

Yeah all the stills from the game have looked pretty good, which is to say standard for a AAA game these days. Nothing to write home about, but nothing terrible either.

I think Andromeda is going to be pretty good because I didn't have the problems with ME1, ME2, or ME3 that others have cited, so even if it's a cash grab, it will still probably be pretty good. They were all pretty good games with some great moments. I agree that the lack of gameplay footage is weird, but doesn't tell me anything about anything because there isn't anything to comment on. The lack of footage doesn't mean the game is amazing, that's for sure.

The worst that can be said is that the expressions are overly action movie stoic. Yet people are practicing racing to be the first to declare THESE GRAPHICS ARE SO BAD THE JAGGIES BISECTED MY DICK. The overall tone of the thread could be right, Andromeda might suck after all, and it wouldn't change the fact that this is a poo poo thread that should be gassed
