Definitely Ramirez will be the first to turn, Branco I see going full steam into conspiracy mode about how congress is made up of fake Republicans that turned on the defender of the country like what happened to Caesar.

Ashley Judd on January 12 in a Facebook post about the Women's March posted:“If you’re other than white, you have to scroll to search for an emoji of color that more closely resembles your experince [sic],” the actor wrote. “A little thing, perhaps. But … what if emojis, came, standard issue, in black? So WE whites had to scroll to find a color that more accurately resembled US? Multiply that times the incalculable. … And that gives me a glimpse of what it may be like to be a person of [color] in a white-centric world. Everything set to the standard of whiteness, everything else a variation thereof.” She even says in the post that it's kind of a small issue but is trying to make a point but all Tinsley and his ilk could get out of it was EMOJIS ARE RACIST. Bet conservative media is glad they don't have to pay attention to the presidency anymore so they can scour the social media of obscure celebrities and criticize what they think they are trying to say.

The default is SUPPOSED to be a non-human skintone. I think the recommendations are grey and blue. Microsoft USED TO do it right but they changed to yellow too. (Default followed by all skintone modifiers: 🖕🖕🏻🖕🏼🖕🏽🖕🏾🖕🏿) Now I want a set of emoji where the default is straight up Twi'lek blue or green. Unicode has a skin color modifier. There's no reason they couldn't make a keyboard that let you select a smilie and then a skin color. For substance: http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr51/#Diversity dougdrums fucked around with this message at 11:45 on Feb 15, 2017 |

Could be done with the long hold, like accented characters, on mobile anyway. Grey, yellow, blue default, long hold for a tone pallette. Wouldn't be a difficult way about it and it accomplishes the purpose.

The genuine outrage that McCoy cartoon is spurring got me wondering: Is there any photo/illustration from U.S. history that would have people angrier if it were parodied by some conservative hack? Short of an actual lynching photo, I'm not sure.

I suppose if a conservative cartoonist tried to riff on the Emmett Till open casket photo that would be more monstrous. Basically, I'm wondering aloud whether The Problem We All Live With is the greatest political cartoon in American history.
