I do wish Kobayashi objected more in that scene at least, she was uncharacteristically quiet and it would have been a way to undercut the tension. Kobayashi's defining character trait is Not Giving a poo poo About Anything Except Maids.

Been said before, but though they look silly, they're actually handmade with (usually) leather and built to last years. A triple-digit figure is normal for artisan leatherwork like that in my area.
