Minto Took posted:iTunes recommended Cranial Engorgement for me and they're not bad. Yes, finally, someone else talking about Cranial Engorgement. My bundle I ordered from Gorehouse showed up yesterday. Great CD. The drummer is a beast! For me and the stuff I listen to (primarily Brutal Death Metal), 2017 has been killer so far. Analepsy, Acranius, Cranial Engorgement and Beheaded have all released fantastic discs this year. Big End Bolt's new CD is great too.

I've tried going back and listening to Pleasure to Kill by Kreator, but the drummer sound super off during blastbeats (or whatever the equivalent in the 80s). Like it just ruins the album for me. It could be some weird syncopation or whatever but I can't stand it.

Ya'll ever heard of Negura Bunget? Haven't seen them posted but I skip pages. Romanian band that's changed line up a billion times, a lot of their songs are very different so it's kind of hard to pin down a genre (kinda progressive black metal-ish mostly?) but I find them relaxing to listen to. One of their better albums imo: edit: link kinda hosed up somehow, just listen to the whole thing if you have the time/like what you're hearing I guess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqAv_h2lswo Minto Took posted:Gojira peaked with Mars to Sirius. Correct, although I loved Terra through L'enfant, Magma is boring as gently caress and I've only sat through it once.

I have found and bought so much music, metal included, on it. If there is an option to buy a physical copy on Bandcamp, that is where I will buy it.

I really wish physical vinyl was more of a thing on bandcamp. I love the site but 99% of my music listening is via Apple Music/not in conjunction with a computer with the rest being vinyl so I never end up buying anything.

I bought a one-day ticket for Copenhell this summer mainly just to see Overkill. $125 well spent. I mean, I'll go and watch Hatesphere, Bęst, Europe and Slayer since they're also playing on the same day. Unfortunately the fuckers scheduled Overkill and Memoriam to play at the same time.
