I thought getting rid of the D-man might help things but this team looks like it's going nowhere; - Marketing guy for boss - Lost lubricant supplier and sponsor for customer deal BP - No other sponsors anyway - Team may or not be subsidized directly by engine manufacturer of worst motor - Chassis huge questionmark, along with new untested engine design

It's funny because both of those decisions are potentially great ideas if executed properly. "MP4" was just a vestige of Ron's takeover, getting rid of it is fine, but the correct car name is either M32 or M61. Orange car is great, so long as it's actually an orange car, not a lovely backmarker livery that happens to be orange. They've made an orange car that won't stand out. It's incredible.

If we're going to expunge the Dennis Era then this car is actually the M31. Speaking of Dennis, it's strange that during the '81 season he reverted to using the M29 for a bit. The orange thing is particularly stupid since it conflicts with the name changing. We're supposed to be nostalgic for the past, just not the most recent 30 years that everybody actually remembers? Like it's borderline schizophrenic decision making.

They're just trying to listen to the fans, which is why it's all the more baffling that they went with a version of an "orange" livery that is explicitly not what one single person asked for.

The fan explanation is a poo poo excuse to cover the fact that they hosed up. I guarantee if you did any sort of polling with the fans the response would overwhelmingly be for the old Marlboro livery.
