Have Jake act at literally any time from drat near anywhere on the board. At PS4: Bodhi uses Jyn to give Jake a bunch of focus (Jan converts one, optionally), Jake Pushes off of the barrel roll then does a green for three actions plus two more focuses and an evade. At PS9: Jake does Jake things. At the start of the combat phase: Asohka to Bodhi/Jyn to Kyle to Jake, or in literally any combination of those things. And it works even if Bodhi rotated in place or hit an obstacle because Chopper. Plus Bodhi with Asohka means that Jake can gently caress around with a TL action beyond range 3 and then come screaming in with two repositions and A-wing speed plus a giant stack of tokens and still end with no stress.

Just went down to the FLGS and played a game with the janky Ghost list.

Holy poo poo is it fun. Not lots of fun for my opponent. Only thing I don't like about it is the slicer tools on the tie. Might try it with the EMP device to give ghost some breathing room if it gets in a bad spot.

I could see this list really enraging and opponent.

I weep every time I see the ARC since those would've looked great as the K wing instead. :negative: I can't even add any K wing bits to make it look like a legit conversion for tournament play since the K wing parts are all so goofy.

T-t-t-t-triple post!

I'm at a complete loss as to what to fly for this weekend's regional in Tulsa. I'm going into this one with a "let's have fun" mindset over "serious business" for some reason. I just can't bring myself to care as much as I did about Plano or Mustafar.

FennZuckMan is out. I'm tired of it, and its single worst matchup is Asajj with Latts crew...who is the major hotness right now. So in addition to being tired of it, it's also a bad call to take it.

I'm torn between my Ten/Nien/Biggs (Comfortably Numb) build that focuses on stress + ion and a Whisper/Darth Vader/TIE Shuttle with Kylo list I've been working on.

I'm also open to taking someone else's pet list/weird idea, as long as it's not something that needs a ton of practice like that Ghost/Ahsoka list.

So what does the thread think? What should I take?

This is pretty fun. Get close and pew pew a lot.

Wired helps on defense for Tycho at least. I don't think people will be targeting him first in that list anyway.

I'm not sure you need Inspiring Recruit and E2 on Keyan though, since he'll shed 1 of the Rage stress after attacking, then shed the other on his next move.

Question on Comfortably Numb

https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f...fortably%20Numb

What are your thoughts on taking A Score to Settle over Adaptability on Ten? I feel that PS9, particularly without a bid, isn't going to be all that useful. It really only matters against Fenn Rau in today's meta.

A Score to Settle would help with that all-important first pass. I can get my guaranteed ion (or just a guaranteed regular crit) against a priority target even at range 3.

Strobe
Jun 30, 2014
GW BRAINWORMS CREW
PS9 doesn't give you maneuvering advantage over much, but it gives you a kickass advantage against any PS8 that you can decide to erase before they shoot. Especially with Bistan. A Score to Settle is also significantly less versatile.

It's probably something that comes down to 'feel', but I've gotten PS killed enough times by somebody like Rey to be utterly sick of it by now. Being able to turn the tables appeals.

You're probably right, but in every game I get at least range 3 shot that I dearly, dearly wish was range 1-2 so I could use Bistan.

A Score to Settle also only affects one ship, and you have to roll a focus. That's significantly less likely than managing to find some way to generate a hit result, and will definitely not trigger every time you end up taking a range 3 shot.

How are Rebels this day and age? My favourite list at the time was a Corran Horn+Marksmanship gimmick with Wedge flanking and a headhunter to fill the points gap. How badly will I get tabled in the current meta?

What sort of cool stuff have I missed for Rebels, now that there's been 2 years of releases to catch up on?

Well scum is big as is triple tie defenders cause they got fixed. Also palp is a crew now thay let's you change a dice result once per turn.

Your list would get hit but on the plus side xwing now have essentially a 0 point shield upgrade.

Rebels got the ghost, Arc-170, and K-wing which are all decently competitive. You can work corran into a ghost or kwing list if you still want to play him. Dash too really. Best thing rebels have atm is triple kwings with bombs.

I think biggs/double ks is better than triple ks

Sadly basically all top tier lists right now have at least one thign in them that's super obnoxious.

To the point where I'm seriously considering not bothering to go to nationals, and am reconsidering whether I'll do the whole of Europeans on just drop early and play Hangar Bays.
