The first time I heard Hathaway's music was in GGG and it's here too, and I really like it. I still don't get where it came from though. Same as the Crossbone music I guess, which I heard for the first time in Alpha 2.

Does anyone know if V has cross save? Bought the vita version and all the DLC talk has reminded me what a pain in the rear end account switching is. Am now considering getting the ps4 version if/when it goes on sale to play the DLC if it's any good.

Oh man I finally had a chance to sink a couple hours into this game and it's so much fun. I frequently stop and remind myself how loving awesome it is to play a licensed SRW in English. I'm abusing the poo poo out of custom soundtracks (Macross Delta stuff on a lot of my units) and I love how versatile it is to put a certain track on a certain attack and oh man I like this game so much. I just beat maybe stage 4 or 5 and have all the SRs so far. Chitose is a killer right now, i ended up killing 9 enemies in a row with multiple action at one point. She has that totally broken ExC Laser or whatever that doubles point gain so she's unstoppable after a certain point.

My biggest problem with Cross Ange is that I'm absolutely certain Nine's bonus TacP for understanding people comes from interactions on the field, and twice in a row I've had her walk into the Cross Ange Locker Room and they all told her to gently caress off. The first time it happened, she was like, "I guess I haven't had a proper introduction," like it's somehow my fault that I didn't want to use a dozen useless maniacs. Hell, if they didn't force deploy literally all of them on their introductory mission, they would rot at 0 kills forever. I was actually relieved when I thought they were all going to die. edit: My one consolation is that for the last 10 missions, Ryoma and the Black Getter have been making a mess somewhere in the Cross Ange/Gundam SEED Destiny rear end in a top hat world. It feels like it took forever, but I've finally got the Xi and Arbalest. And Tobia goes straight into the Xi, because he's better at literally everything than Hathaway except for fighting in water. For the Arbalest, do the customizations I dump into it carry over to the Laevatein, or should I hold off on funneling literally all my cash into it?

I've never noticed this in the other games but on the Mech Info screen it has each units official name. Most of them are just the same as the usual name but Eva Unit 1's is All-Purpose Humanoid Decisive Battle Weapon Artificial Human Evangelion Prototype Unit-01 which is amazing.

Souji more or less acts like Kurz, and his moments are more just him trying to seem cool and no one falling for it. It's funny, and he is a good guy, but he gets no luck with women. I really really am adoring how all-in they go to making crossover stuff happen. Some of it is batshit insane but that's a huge relief after how orthodox some recent SRW crossovers have been.*coughZ3-2cough* But it's hard not to enjoy Oh hey turns out Coordinators were specifically created to gently caress over Embryo and also Getter Rays are absorbed by dragons which is why the upgraded Getter Robo that can surpass dragon-absorption is called Dragon. kind of stuff.

I got bored and watched the demo reel attack showcase on youtube, and it's kinda charming how they used the localized titles for stuff when they could, even though they didn't need to. Special shout out though to them using the English translation of Daitarn 3's Italian name as the localization.

Okay, so I'm 100% sure that there's a secret bonus TacP objective on every stage once Nine is introduced, and it functions like old SR points (do something plotty). I also got a Secret Scenario (Black Might Gaine, possibly a secret unit, too?) for doing the latest one (beating Hiryu using only Mightgaine). Other oddities: If you take 0 damage, Persist doesn't wear off. The Recommended slots in the Factory are the primary source of Parts once it's unlocked, and parts that show up there usually aren't available in the main Factory menu. It's just like the bonuses in Z3 you'd get, right down to Nine also having special Ace dialogue for every character. There ALSO seem to be hidden bonuses which make Nine trigger a free skill program. I can't tell if it is just a fancy way of having skill programs drop or if it's actually determined by doing things but I notice the seem to drop more often when you have plot characters kill plot bosses, but that may just be a coincidence.

God drat but the Yamato is absurd. I'm only up to stage 6 but I'm having to actively work to make sure Okita doesn't just fly through the map and eat every enemy in his path (fortunately his ridiculous command aura helps make my other units tear poo poo up).

The trick isn't nearly as hard as you think. If you think a character is gonna have a conversation with a boss, have that character attack the boss, then go to the Factory for the conversation. For what I just did, on Scenario 17, don't fight Joe the Ace with anybody except Mightgaine, and it'll give you a Tac conversation at the Factory that opens up the Black Mightgaine mission.
