Remember 2 listen to the new Power Trip record: Nightmare Logic. It is extremely good, and I believe there are 2 perfect riffs on this album. Also they're touring, go see them unless you're stupid!!

Peter Dolving(The Haunted, IamFire) seems to be in a really bad spot right now. https://www.facebook.com/peter.dolving/posts/10154327610002876 quote:I was going to kill myself last night.

The Haunted records he appeared on (s/t, revolver, the dead eye, versus) were incredible and he always struck me as an intense dude but he always seemed a little mentally off I guess. Like he meant well but he had mental illness. Sucks to see him struggle like this.

That sucks, I hope he finds a way to improve his situation and get better. I love his voice. Unseen is one of my favourite albums, and I really like his new album with IAmFire.

It's weird following him on FB. One day he's plugging the hell out of the upcoming IamFire record saying he's pumped about it and it's one of the better things he's ever done, but then other days he'll say that pursuing music was the worst decision he's ever made while plugging his linkedin. Hope he gets better.

Like he meant well but he had mental illness. Actually, he was the original singer in The Haunted on the first album, got kicked out/left due to drug habits and was replaced by Marco Aro (who later left because Gothenburg was too far away from Stockholm), and was replaced by Dolving. Now Dolving is replaced by Marco Aro. Interviews with him tell of psychological issues and drug abuse, so he is one of those artists that self-medicate by drugs. Now he have probably had a relapse. It is one of those classic cases of suffering artist. Revolver, The dead eye are pretty loving great due to how Dolving comes across in the vocals. There are so many metal bands that play ok, but lack good vocals. Aro was good in One Kill Wonder and Made me do it..., but he is more of a generic singer, compared to the craziness of Dolving.

After he left The Haunted for a 2nd time I remember reading he spent some time in Oregon and the American northeast smoking a lot of weed. He talked about it openly on FB which was weird to me since a few years prior in interviews and on myspace he stated that sobriety was a pretty big deal to him. I know some addicts have dropped the hard stuff and switched to weed but maybe Peter doesn't have the mind to do that. Not everyone does. I know he lost custody to his kids 5-6 years ago and his ex-wife doesn't want him anywhere near them which is a major bummer and probably contributes to his lovely situation. Just sucks to see. He needs help and I hope he gets it. quote:Revolver, The dead eye are pretty loving great due to how Dolving comes across in the vocals. With the exception of Unseen, all the Haunted records that Dolving appears on are classics to me. He literally made those records great, in my opinion. His vocals really put across someone who is angry, afraid, and lashing out. He's one of the better metal singers in the last 15 years. The first half of Dead Eye is just pure perfection. With Marco they were/are just general metal band #483828439-A. Chromatic fucked around with this message at 18:51 on Feb 27, 2017 |

According to his facebook page, Dolving lives in Brazil now which probably helps with easy access to drugs.

Nah, in the last 4-5 years he's moved from Sweden to Oregon, then Oregon to Brazil, then Brazil to somewhere in Denmark I think. He hasn't been in Brazil since mid last year or sometime around that. I don't know why I know all that.

I don't even listen to the Marco Haunted records very often. His vocals just make them so bland to me. Dolving era: 1. Dead Eye 2. Revolver 3. S/T 4. Versus 5. Unseen
