This was a really good episode. It showed how much the relationships between Kobayashi, Tohru, and Kanna have grown--they've really become a family. At this point, my ideal ending involves Kobayashi telling Tohru to call her by her yet-unmentioned first name

This isn't how negotiations with Kyoani work. You've gotta demand that they kiss, and then if you're lucky you'll get Tohru combing out Kobayashi's ponytail

Lucoa's scenes with Shota are still pretty bad, but I'll admit that the dream imagery genuinely made me laugh until it cut back to Lucoa.

Good episode, topped off a week of good episodes for the shows I'm watching. Akiba's Trip>Konosuba=this>LWA. Very good week to like cute girl animes and comedies. Yep, yup.

Also I'm not sure I've found any concrete info on the ep count, but if it wasn't relatively low, and ended up being 13+1 like someone said, one wonders exactly what they plan to do with an entire 5 more episodes after the sports festival...

Yep. Lucoa even calls him "Shouta-kun". It's not subtle. Also I looked at that timg'd image up there and wow. This thread had hinted at her, but I didn't realize how bad the character who hopefully isn't going to be in this is.

Roland Jones posted:Yep. Lucoa even calls him "Shouta-kun". It's not subtle. She's not in the intro, so it's unlikely she'll make the cut. Which is good, the show already has enough fanservice, and even compared to Lucoa/Shota, Ilulu is some HIGH OCTANE fetishism. Having glanced over the manga and listening to people on this thread, it seems like KyoAni is really smoothing over the rougher edges of the source material, which is great.

On another topic, I noticed the Japanese title is "Kobayashi-san chi no maidoragon", and I'm not sure what the 'chi' means in that context. Is there a goon better at Japanese than me who could explain?

I remember from (i think) an earlier entry on the sakugabooru blog that there were a lot of opening shots that suggested a time of year, does anyone know if the one for this ep is another traditional seasonal thing? It seemed like an intentional layout but i have no idea about japanese traditions.
