Bad: discussing politics. Good: Discussing two stroke era MotoGP. I'm watching the 2000 500cc championship, about midway through and Rossi's rise to championship contender is ridiculously impressive. I'm shocked at the power curve of the bikes though, some of riders look like they're riding a bull through corners instead of a bike. Was the big bang effect still a thing at that point?

Somebody needs to link Villeneuve desperately trying to take the lead of the 98 Canadian Grand Prix (From Fisi I think) and absolutely blowing it. That's what really wrote him off for me.

I think at one point there was a protest from English teams about Ferrari talking Italian over the radio because they couldn't understand it. Make no mistake, this is as old as F1 and there are some very deep 'chips on shoulders'. That's basically it. I'm not trying to spark an argument or rag on English folk, but as an Italian Ferrari fan I can tell you that's how I feel about it. It runs very deep! edit: oh of course, Americans that follow English into the sport (because Anglosphere) sort of pick it up along the way like it's just known F1 stuff.
